If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that work for both. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write (and similarily, I will have trouble finding a recipient for you if you only offer to write/draw pairings or characters that nobody requested). The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by November 29th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to every email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Either ask someone to beta read your fic for you or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, you can contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:

1. Jon/Sansa or Stannis/Sansa: He's not handsome or charming, but Sansa has come to learn that a decent man who will treat her well is the most attractive man of all. The level of the relationship can range from romantic to entirely platonic, for I’m very interested to see Sansa interact with Jon/Stannis post ADWD where neither Queen Daenerys nor R + L = J come into play.

2. Stannis and Davos: Something pre-canon, such as Davos helping Stannis plan the attack on Dragonstone, Stannis brooding with Davos after a frustrating small council meeting, Davos and Stannis working together to solve a mystery, Stannis visiting Davos and his family on Cape Wrath, or Stannis and Davos talking about anything, really. I’d like to see a focus on how the Stannis/Davos dynamic that we see in canon develops, for Stannis easily could have sent Davos off to Cape Wrath after the Storm’s End siege and never bothered with him again. While this prompt is gen, UST/repressed feelings between the two are welcome.

3. Stannis/Jon: Jon bends the knee. I don’t care when, I don’t care how, but I’m very interested to see Stannis and Jon work together in a capacity other than King/Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Perhaps Jon accepts the lordship of Winterfell or a place on Stannis’ Kingsguard or Small Council. Level of the relationship can range from romantic to entirely platonic, though I have a weakness for hints of father/son interactions between them.

4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I just want to see some Stark gen with Ned trying to be a good father.

5. Jon and his father figures: Jon has a whole string of father/mentor figures in the books, most of who tragically end up dying after importing their own unique wisdom. Write a story focusing on Jon’s relationship with one (or any number) of these men and how he’s able to influence Jon for good or for ill: Ned, Benjen, Tyrion, Jeor Mormont, Maester Aemon, Qhorin Halfhand, Mance, Tormund, Stannis.

6. Get one of these pairs of characters to meet up/interact anytime pre, during, or post canon to talk, revisit old grudges, form an alliance, or anything that seems appropriate for them: Stannis and Tyrion, Stannis and Jon, Stannis and Sansa, Stannis and Shireen, Jon and Davos, Jon and Tyrion, Jon and Tyrion and Sansa, Jon and Tyrion and Stannis, Jon and Theon, Jon and Jorah, Jon and Jaime, Jon and Arya, Jon and Shireen, Jon and Lady Stoneheart, Davos and Stannis, Davos and Stannis and Ned, Davos and Tyrion, or Davos and Theon. Feel free to do any amount of hand-waving necessary to get the characters in the vicinity of each other.

-->Feel free to combine any of my prompts and include characters/pairings mentioned on my preferred list. Jon, Stannis, and Davos are my favorite characters, so if you don’t like any of the above prompts write a story focusing on any one of them. I’ll likely adore it.
