If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so the other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. A prompt should not be a plot outline. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

If you don't want to post your email address here, just fill in the rest of the form and send me a PM with your address. Please sign up with an email address which you check regularly so I can reach you.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by March 16th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

Any other questions, comments, suggestions, problems? You can ask in the comments or PM me. Please read the FAQ first, though, maybe your question has already been answered there.

Hey Linne, after missing the last round due to work commitments I'm glad to be back on board. But I'll level with you and say it's likely, even at this stage, that I might be a few days late with my assignment, because Friday 14 March is the last day of term! You already know I am a shitty timekeeper but also that I have never defaulted so hopefully this is ok... I am sorry that I am a pest. :)

Active email address: rachel2205 @ livejournal.com (or if you remember my gmail stuff can go there - warier about sharing it these days since it contains my full name!)

Have you read (all) the books? Have you seen the show? Do you have any book vs. show preferences? I've seen all the aired eps; I've read the first 3 books and know some spoilers for later in the series. I'm more of a show fan than a book fan, to be honest, so it's unlikely I'll get around to reading the rest of the books - I'm not a huge fan of GRRM's writing (sorry!) and the world has too many books in it. :)

What kind of gift can you make?

Fic and/or fanart?
Fic

Preferred characters and/or pairings: I like to write the Starks (including Jon in there!) and Margaery (would give all the Tyrells a go). Can also do some Baratheon stuff though I'd probably exclude Stannis from that since I don't think I'd have much of a grasp of his voice. Pairings I enjoy writing or would like to try writing include: Jon/Robb, Robb/Margaery, Robb/Margaery/Jon, Ned/Catelyn, Sansa/Margaery, Ned/Robert, Sam/Jon... Tyrell and Stark family gen fic would be cool too.

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: Much as I love the Lannisters I'm not convinced I can deliver them. And I'm not interested in writing about Daenerys and her crew.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I'm good at character studies, UST, strong ladies doing lady things, teen boys being stupid, historical AU, and I'm happy to write you sexscapades.

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I don't write noncon or torture.

What kind of gift do you want to receive?

Fic and/or fanart?

Fic, please

Preferred characters and/or pairings: I am all about Margaery lately! Margaery/anyone that advances her agenda is cool with me though I do like her femmeslashed or with Robb (because he would have done far better, careerwise, matched with her...). I enjoy Robb/Jon, Ned/Cate, Stark gen fic, I keep suggesting Ned/Robert but I'm not sure this will ever happen :D, Varys is a cool character I'd love to know more about, a Tyrion/Bronn bromance (or romance) could be hilarious, Olenna Tyrell is amazing and deserves way more fic... I'm open to lots of things.

Characters and/or pairings you do NOT want to see/read about: I'm really not too invested in anything over the Narrow Sea, in Jon Snow when he's away from the Starks (except for cute Jon/Sam stuff *pets them*), or in Stannis/Melisandre shenanigans.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? (Gen, slash, het, angst, fluff, romance, smut, character studies, AUs, future fics etc.) I care less about plots than I do about characterisation (though if you can do both, great!). I enjoy getting insights into characters' POV, I love UST, I like seeing characters' relationships (not just romantic - friendly and political too) unfold... I like what-if scenarios and getting extra details to fill in gaps in canon.

Part 2 aka I talk too much:
Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:
1. Renly doesn't die, and Margaery goes north with Catelyn to negotiate with Robb on his behalf. Margaery/Robb appreciated, whether inspired by romance or politics!
2. I saw a graphic on Tumblr where Sansa was depicted as being reaped into the Hunger Games. I imagined HG being reimagined as Sansa/Margaery - I could totally see Margaery being clever enough to be manipulative and play the romance angle, but maybe genuinely falling for Sansa - who might be young and naive but is brought up in a tough district and so surprises everyone with how well she can look after herself when given the chance. But you know, any kind of GoT/Hunger Games crossover could be really cool, I think. You Win or You Die totally works as a HG motto too, right?
3. Robert/Ned in Robert's Rebellion era. I like to imagine Robert being in love with Ned but since that isn't socially acceptable he transfers his feelings to Ned's sister. Or maybe Ned and Robert had a youthful affair but then Robert fell for Lyanna and Ned is stoical and sad about it. Or they get together - maybe for one night only - after Lyanna's death. And Ned knows Robert won't make a good king but cares for him too much to stand in his way, and comes to regret it.
4. An AU where Robert and Lyanna DID get married and there was no Rebellion - how might Westeros have turned out? If you can involve any of the pairings I like, great.
5. Olenna Tyrell being awesome. If you wanted this could be a historical AU - she would make a fantastic Dowager, Downton Abbey-style. I'd like to see her helping mould Margaery.
6. Robb goes through with his intended marriage, and later on he and Jon are reunited when Jon comes to ask the King in the North for help with the White Walkers issue. Angst teen boy romance ensues.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: I don't really want out-and-out fluff though I prefer my stories not to have completely despairing endings! No rape, noncon in general or explicit violence, please.

Are you willing to pinch hit? Afraid not!

Thanks, dear! And thanks again for keeping doing these! :)
