If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so the other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. A prompt should not be a plot outline. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

If you don't want to post your email address here, just fill in the rest of the form and send me a PM with your address. Please sign up with an email address which you check regularly so I can reach you.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by March 16th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

1. Dany is not convinced that Jon is Rhaegar's son and she is not convinced Aegon isn't an impostor, but she marries them both to keep the peace. With Aegon resentful of being a queen's consort rather than a king in his own right, and Jon struggling with sharing a wife with another man, their marriage is an uneasy one. Whether they make it work, or whether the situation erupts is your prerogative.

2. Dany marries either Aegon or Jon, and knowing that she can't have children, she has her husband take Arianne as a second wife. Arianne, however, wants to be the only queen and begins scheming against Dany.

3. Arya is sent by the Faceless Men to serve a courtesan so she can learn to wield the weapons of beauty and sex. As she comes of age, she realizes men hold no attraction for her and instead she desires women.

4. Arya, in one of her disguises, meets Alayne Stone. She falls in love with this bastard girl who looks like a brunette version of her mother, and seduces her. Then one day Alayne Stone reveals herself to be Sansa Stark. Arya has to decide whether to reveal her own identity.

5. Chataya and/or Alayaya know secrets about many powerful men in Westeros. They decide to use some of these secrets to take revenge on the Lannisters for what happened to Alayaya and to the girl who bore Robert's bastard. I'd ask that you not spare Tyrion since he's just as responsible for what happened to Alayaya as Tywin and Cersei.

Wouldn’t that surprise her, to see you ahorse?' Even in the dark room, Bran could feel his brother’s smile. 'And afterward, we’ll ride north to see the Wall. We won’t even tell Jon we’re coming, we’ll just be there one day, you and me.'" A better world in which this comes to pass. (It'd be cool if Arya went too, but that's totally optional)
-Nymeria's wolf pack functioning as an army and sort-of working with people (possibly under Arya's dubious control). e.g. against the wights, Freys, retaking Winterfell, etc
-Arya + various things in Braavos accidentally triggering her memories of home, her siblings, her parents, etc
-She thought that returning to Winterfell would mend the hole in her heart, but it does not become home again until her family returns to fill it. (Can be Arya or Sansa.)
-Devan/Shireen: Her father's men continued fighting for her after he fell, but only Devan thinks to ask if she even wants to be queen.

1. A story exploring the idea of Sansa as a lesbian in the ASOIAF universe. Young Sansa being confused/afraid, older Sansa figuring out what's going on, relationships with girls, relationships with men that don't make her happy the way she dreamed of as a kid - whatever you'd like! Any pairings are fine, but if you're going to make one of them endgame or the focus of the story (as opposed to a more gen Sansa fic), I'd prefer Sansa/Margaery.

2. Harry Potter-fusion AU where all of the great houses are prominent pureblood families. Give me political tension! Focus on the Starks and Tullys and/or Lannisters preferred, with the Rebellion-era generation as the main characters (as students or adults, doesn't matter.) Preferably set during wartime (Grindelwald, maybe?), or at least in a setting that highlights the different houses' belief systems re: bloodlines. (Also, I would prefer the Rebellion generation, but the exception to that is Slytherin!Margaery and Ravenclaw!Sansa in a star-crossed lovers situation.)

3. Modern AU where Ned takes in his young nephew following his sister’s death. As he begins to navigate the new world of single parenthood, he finds unexpected guidance and friendship in Jon’s teacher, Miss Tully. (Reprompted from the kink meme, I just REALLY LOVE awkward modern Ned/Cat.)

4. Roslin bonding with the Starks/Tullys. Can be either canon-based future fic where she meets Sansa, Arya, and/or the Blackfish, or an AU where she marries Robb.

5. Wild card - anything Catelyn or Sansa centric featuring other preferred characters (Arya/Brienne/Lyanna/Margaery/Robb/whoever, take your pick), or anything with Catelyn/Ned or Margaery/Sansa as the main pairings.

- Animal... familiars... Along the lines of a His Dark Materials fusion... Shhh, just let it in....

- Stannis/Davos/Marya genfic where Davos and Marya share conspiratorial chuckles and Stannis is like (to paraphrase) "Whaattttt are you guys talking about". A minimum of 100 cuddles to be had.

- Ok here's your blatantly Stannis/Davos canonverse fic: Stannis on the throne (Briefly? Dany can be on her way for a peaceful turnover if you want) with Hand Davos. Outsider perspectives on "Hey what's the deal with those two". Maybe I am nudging this towards a 5+1 structure. Maybe not. Who knows.

- Final prompt: Ensemble fic in a weird setting. And by weird setting I mean the zoo.

It’s all good! Particular favorites are character studies, gallows humor, dark stuff sans wangst. Sexin’ is great but I prefer if it’s rooted more in characterizations than erotic gymnastics.

1. Sansa/Stannis; Sansa is the one who saves Stannis, through guile, diplomacy, surprise support, whatever (just not warriorqueen!Sansa please). They can be in a relationship already but bonus points if they’re not. The level of romance is up to the writer, as is what/who she saves him from.
2. Sansa/Theon. Ned took Theon to King’s Landing along with Sansa and Arya. After Ned’s execution, Theon and Sansa are both captives. What happens? Can be romantic or platonic. Bonus points if this affects the political landscape in unexpected ways. Other Greyjoys are totally welcome but by no means a must. Most interested in the character development.
3. A Westeros retelling of Little Red Riding Hood that’s not a Sansa/Sandor story (at least in the sense of Sandor being the wolfy). Bonus points if it’s Angela Carteresque.
4. Sansa is somehow removed/rescued from King’s Landing. Only to find Robb has betrothed her to Roose Bolton. Thinking of something creepy/moody/possibly a ray of weird cuteness more so than pure angsty (though some angst is totes fine). Sexin’ is fine as long as there’s lots of characterization.
5. Jaime never learns that the Arya shipped to Winterfell is a fake. Brienne is off searching for Sansa so he goes north with a small retinue to retrieve the younger Stark sister, by quasi-honest or duplicitous means. Roose is suspicious the Lannistes are up to something, Jaime’s getting uneasy, and Ramsay’s…Ramsay. Thus begins a night of mind games, danger, quick thinking, and assorted WTFery. Theon and Jeyne are wild cards. I don’t have any “absolutely not!” buttons so go where your inner psycho leads, but I’m craving something closer to House on Haunted Hill and/or The Shadow Over Innsmouth than Hostel.

1. Renly doesn't die, and Margaery goes north with Catelyn to negotiate with Robb on his behalf. Margaery/Robb appreciated, whether inspired by romance or politics!
2. I saw a graphic on Tumblr where Sansa was depicted as being reaped into the Hunger Games. I imagined HG being reimagined as Sansa/Margaery - I could totally see Margaery being clever enough to be manipulative and play the romance angle, but maybe genuinely falling for Sansa - who might be young and naive but is brought up in a tough district and so surprises everyone with how well she can look after herself when given the chance. But you know, any kind of GoT/Hunger Games crossover could be really cool, I think. You Win or You Die totally works as a HG motto too, right?
3. Robert/Ned in Robert's Rebellion era. I like to imagine Robert being in love with Ned but since that isn't socially acceptable he transfers his feelings to Ned's sister. Or maybe Ned and Robert had a youthful affair but then Robert fell for Lyanna and Ned is stoical and sad about it. Or they get together - maybe for one night only - after Lyanna's death. And Ned knows Robert won't make a good king but cares for him too much to stand in his way, and comes to regret it.
4. An AU where Robert and Lyanna DID get married and there was no Rebellion - how might Westeros have turned out? If you can involve any of the pairings I like, great.
5. Olenna Tyrell being awesome. If you wanted this could be a historical AU - she would make a fantastic Dowager, Downton Abbey-style. I'd like to see her helping mould Margaery.
6. Robb goes through with his intended marriage, and later on he and Jon are reunited when Jon comes to ask the King in the North for help with the White Walkers issue. Angst teen boy romance ensues.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? slash or gen. het only for Stannis/Sansa and Victarion/Asha. smut is great, but only if there's also some sort of plot and it's IC. I like character analysis and interaction and explorations of how relationships develop over time. I find the political elements of ASOIAF more interesting than the magical stuff. Angst and dark themes are good (I don't mind violence and non-con in fics if it suits the plot and the characters), but no pure tragedy. I love some UST & repressed desires even in gen fic (especially if you write about Stannis anywhere near Davos or Jon). I enjoy in-verse AUs and what-if scenarios, but I don't like out-of-Westeros AUs (modern AUs etc.). I absolutely love Kingsguard!Jon, but I'm also fine with Jon staying at the Wall so he and Stannis can angst about not seeing each other anymore.

1) Stannis/Jon or Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Sansa: post-war, Stannis has won the throne and someone tries to assassinate him. Up to you whether he is injured or just shaken up, up to you how he survived the assassination attempt (sheer luck? did his Kingsguard save him?). I mostly want to see Stannis' reaction to the whole thing as well as the person of your choice (Jon or Davos or Sansa or all three of them) fretting/taking care of him/feeling guilty for not being better at protecting him (in Jon's case, mostly) or however else they react to almost losing him.

2) Stannis/Jon. AU in which Jon squires for Stannis. Instead of sending Jon to the Wall, Ned sends Jon South to become a squire, and Robert thinks it would be hilarious to let Ned's bastard squire for Stannis. I'd love to see some development from them being unhappy about the arrangement (Stannis feels insulted, Jon is lonely and feels unwelcome) to them learning to trust and rely on each other. Slash with grown-up/knighted Jon would be appreciated, but it isn't necessary if it doesn't fit into your fic.

3) Stannis/Jon. Stannis takes Jon to see Storm's End. I suppose this would work best in a post-war fic with Kingsguard!Jon, but if you prefer a different scenario, that's fine by me.

4) Victarion in his younger years. His childhood/youth with his brothers. Or going reaving with Balon when they were young. Or his relationship with Euron over the years. Or something about his first wives. Or the first Greyjoy Rebellion. Anything about pre-canon!Vic. Bonus if you include Balon/Victarion (or creeptastic Victarion/Euron, or troll!Aeron hitting on Victarion, or even Victarion/Asha if you write something set shortly before the books happen).

5) Victarion/Asha, ruling the Iron Islands together post-canon. How did that happen? What does their shared rule look like? I'd love if you also included some smut or sexual tension in this because we all know the Greyjoys are for porn.

6) Aegon I./Orys Baratheon. I would love to read a background fic about Aegon/Orys: how they first met (I doubt they were raised together), how they grew so close, how they became friends and lovers. But if you'd rather write something about their relationship later on in their lives, I won't complain. (In that case, I will love you forever if you also include Aegon's relationship with his sons and/or Maegor/Aenys (one-sided or not, consensual or not, with Aegon's knowledge or not). 2. Alayaya - Tell me a little about her life at the brothel and her relationship with her mother and the other girls. I'm mostly looking for female centric friendship, but I'd never say no to femslash. Little to no Tyrion involvement please.

3. Jon/Sam - Modern AU. Anything where they navigate a burgeoning relationship together while in uni, featuring Jon going to Robb and Sansa (and maybe Theon) for advice, Sam working up the courage to come out to his father, Sam being incredibly ticklish. (Fit these in or don't as you see fit!)

4. Tommen, Loras - Future/post-war. Tommen still remembers his boyhood hero, and his feelings about him remain unchanged, disfigured though the Knight of Flowers may now be. (If Tommen's crush is requited, please let him be 16+!) Cersei/Margaery in the background would be great in any measure.

5. Cat/Brienne or Melisandre/Selyse - Modern AU. A few years after Ned's death, Cat starts dating again. What genre of fic/art do you generally want? I quite like AUs and Crossovers, I also prefer slash over any other romantic type of writing. I like college AUs, clubbing AUs, modern AUs and also canon fic. I also like dating site scenarios where it actually works out.

1. Renly/Loras or Jon/Robb- They are roommates in College and are very attracted to each other but each of them is from an important family that expects them to make political marriages and so they are hesitant to act on their attraction to each other. Insert Angst.

2. Jon/Robb or Renly/Loras or Arya/Gendry- Jon and Robb are both in different bands on the same tour. They start out absolutely hating each other but as time passes, they develop a grudging respect for one another. On a rare night off, the two are abandoned by their respective bands and decide to drink together. By the end of the night, they're naked in one of their bunks and have no idea how they'd done such a one-eighty.

3. Arya/Gendry- Instead of joining with the brotherhood, Arya and Gendry make it to the wall. Arya remains dressed as a man for the remainder of her life and takes her vows, alongside Gendry. Jon Snow keeps her secret and the shared secret that she and Gendry are lovers. Overall, I am looking for fic where Arya and Gendry are both Crows and what happens to them while they are on the wall.

4. Sansa/Jaime- After King Joffrey and Queen Cersei are both killed by poison, Jaime knows that Sansa will be blamed for the act so he spirits her away, back to Winterfell. They develop feelings about each other along the way.

1. Jon/Sansa: She resents the fact that he’s her only kin left, and that he’s brave, gentle, and strong—the kind of man her father wanted her to marry. Romance is fine, as is a platonic friendship between the two of them once they’re able to reunite.

2. Stannis gets something that he wants/believes should be his for a change, be it Storm’s End, a son, the position of Hand of the King to Robert, or the Iron Throne. How does this change him, and is he more satisfied with his life?

3. Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Jon: Davos essentially saved Stannis’ life during the Storm’s End Siege. Turn the tables and have Stannis save Davos’ life, be it from a physical or political danger. I’d also like to see this prompt with Stannis saving Jon from something. This can be as gen, UST-y, or slashy as you want.

4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. If you want to use R+L=J, please keep the same ambiguity levels as the books.

5. AGOT AU: What if Ned simply refused Robert’s request to become Hand of the King? What kind of repercussions would this have for the politics of the realm and the major families (Starks, Baratheons, and Lannisters primarily)? Spin this however you want, such as a story focusing on what the Starks would be doing post Robert’s visit, the Lannisters doing their best to get rid of the newest Hand, Robert deciding to take a more proactive role as king and (since he can’t rely on Ned Stark for everything) fix relations with Stannis and Renly, etc.

6. Young Griff doesn’t only receive training in history, languages and other highborn topics; Jon also grooms him to behave sexually the way he thinks Rhaegar would have done.

I mostly write serious angsty fic about character's internal lives but I've been known to cook up crack-driven AUs from time-to-time. I am down with gen and can write het, when the pairing appeals. I'm not much good at writing explicit NC-17 sex so, yet again, I'm going to ask you to refrain from giving me 5 prompts for kinky Bloody Mummers PWP. That's okay, right?

2. Jon Connington/Rhaegar Targaryen, regrets (love wasn't death to his honour, but he wishes it had been)
3. Greyjoy fic. Anything about the Greyjoys, about Balon's first reaving and his gaining the respect of his brothers and the rest of the Ironborn; about Victarion's third wife or his devotion to Balon. Anything. I don't mind if it's shippy or gen or who it focusses on, even if it ends up more about Alannys and her Harlaw relatives. Just Ironborn awesomeness.
4. You know what, before the show goes and messes with it too much, I would actually love a fic about the Martells. Any Martell you like. Oberyn and Doran interacting; or the Sand Snakes being awesome; or precious, beautiful frog-prince Quent. Or write me a love letter to the sand and dust of Dorne, the way its landscape changes as you cross the Marches, what you find there.

The story you always wanted to tell, about the ship you love that has always gone unwritten, or that AU that's been niggling in the back of your mind or the ballad of a character you see differently than everyone else. If you want to use the characters mentioned in my 'preferred' list, you're welcome to do so; but if you have a great idea for something else then don't let that hold you back.

But, uh, other than that, I'd rather see something subtle and UST-y than porn-without-character-development. I'm not a fan of mpreg & don't like non-con being treated as though it's no big deal (though rape as a theme doesn't trigger me).
