If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so the other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. A prompt should not be a plot outline. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by March 16th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

I ship: Theon/anyone, Stannis/Jon, Stannis/Davos, Jon/Robb, basically Jon/every male character, JonCon/Rhaegar, Thoros/Beric, Aegon/Orys.

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: Fic about actual book canon Oberyn Martell being awesome and sexy. Show!Oberyn is clearly the pallid, short-haired, baby-faced way to go.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I tend to write slash (though sometimes it's just UST) but I do like a good character study, too. I mostly write serious angsty fic about character's internal lives but I've been known to cook up crack-driven AUs from time-to-time. I am down with gen and can write het, when the pairing appeals. I'm not much good at writing explicit NC-17 sex so, yet again, I'm going to ask you to refrain from giving me 5 prompts for kinky Bloody Mummers PWP. That's okay, right?

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I really want to write fic where I get to write an ode to show!Oberyn, because I know he's going to be everything I ever wanted. (Yes, just like Joffrey is everything Sansa ever wanted.) Also, Daario. Both show Daarios, together, making love to each other - or to Dany. I really don't mind as long as Daario. Actually, I really want to write a threesome with s3!Daario/show!Oberyn/s4!Daario! Also, the above email address is not actually real - though it probably should be. Just use the old one. (;

1. Stannis/Jon, I've given you all and now I am nothing. (Or, just, as always, anything.)
2. Jon Connington/Rhaegar Targaryen, regrets (love wasn't death to his honour, but he wishes it had been)
3. Greyjoy fic. Anything about the Greyjoys, about Balon's first reaving and his gaining the respect of his brothers and the rest of the Ironborn; about Victarion's third wife or his devotion to Balon. Anything. I don't mind if it's shippy or gen or who it focusses on, even if it ends up more about Alannys and her Harlaw relatives. Just Ironborn awesomeness.
4. You know what, before the show goes and messes with it too much, I would actually love a fic about the Martells. Any Martell you like. Oberyn and Doran interacting; or the Sand Snakes being awesome; or precious, beautiful frog-prince Quent. Or write me a love letter to the sand and dust of Dorne, the way its landscape changes as you cross the Marches, what you find there.
5. The story you always wanted to tell, about the ship you love that has always gone unwritten, or that AU that's been niggling in the back of your mind or the ballad of a character you see differently than everyone else. If you want to use the characters mentioned in my 'preferred' list, you're welcome to do so; but if you have a great idea for something else then don't let that hold you back.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: Daario not being treated with the respect and gravity he deserves. But, uh, other than that, I'd rather see something subtle and UST-y than porn-without-character-development. I'm not a fan of mpreg & don't like non-con being treated as though it's no big deal (though rape as a theme doesn't trigger me).
