A Song of Ice and Fire - Fanfic and Fanart Exchange

As you've probably seen, the remaining fics for round 11 were posted last weekend. You can find the masterlist here. For some reason comments have been very sparse this exchange, so it'd be great if everyone could take the time to comment when you catch up on fics you've missed. It should go without saying that you are expected to comment on your gift fic - it's very rude not to thank the person who wrote something just for you.

If you repost your fic on AO3, you can add it to the got_exchange collection. Thanks to everyone who has participated, and a special thank you to the pinch-hitters: mautadite, yunie1281, crossingwinter, lareinenoire, and janie_tangerine. You guys are amazing and I can't thank you enough for writing an extra fic, and in a very short time, too.

I'm sorry that posting took so long this round. Unfortunately there was an unusual number of very late drop-outs, and a lot of other people just disappeared for a few weeks before they sent in their fic. I'd really appreciate if everyone could try a bit harder to meet the deadline next time. And if, for whatever reason, you can't meet the deadline or you can't finish your fic at all, please keep me updated instead of just disappearing and not replying to my emails. It makes my job a lot harder if I don't know whether I should be looking for a pinch-hitter or not.

That being said, I hope that everyone enjoyed participating and liked the gift they got. Obviously we'll wait until the new year for the next round of the exchange, since the next weeks will already be busy enough for most people. I'm aiming for sign-ups in mid to late January and a deadline in late March/early April. Does that sound generally good to everyone? I will post an exact schedule for round 12 in a couple of weeks.

Again, thanks to everyone who has participated, and don't forget to comment some more on this round's fics. :) As always, if you have any suggestions or questions, let me know.

The deadline is today. Unless we've agreed on an extension, you should send in your fic/art by the end of the day. If you need a few more days to finish your work, please let me know. If, for whatever reason, you won't be able to finish your fic/art at all, tell me as well so I can find a pinch-hitter.

Posting starts tomorrow with one fic/art per day. Usually I switch to two posts per day once everyone has sent in their work. Please do not post your fic or art elsewhere before it has been posted here.

And the usual request to all members of the community, not just the participants: please comment. Nobody expects you to read fics you're not interested in, but if you read and enjoy something anyway, it doesn't take that much time and effort to write a short comment to tell the author or artist you liked their work. And it should go without saying that you are expected to leave a proper comment on the fic/art made just for you; not thanking the person who spent so much time writing/drawing something for you is incredibly rude.

I hope everyone enjoyed working on their fic/art and that you will all like your gift.

The deadline for the exchange is in three weeks, on Sunday, November 2nd. The official check-in post will be up next week, but if you already know that you will have to drop out, please let me know as soon as possible so I can start looking for a pinch-hitter.
