Assignments sent

All the assignments have been sent. Please make sure you have received an e-mail from gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com. If you haven't, please tell me right away. I hope everyone is okay with their assignments. It wasn't always easy to come up with a solution that would work for everyone, but I hope that I've managed. In most cases, you probably won't like all of the prompts you've been given, but I think that everyone should have at least two or three prompts about characters/pairings they like.

As I said before, if you have any questions about your prompts, please contact me, not your giftee. If you have to drop out, tell me as soon as possible so I can look for a pinch hitter. Don't just disappear without a word.

We have 53 participants this time, that's 10 more than last round (and the reason why the assignments took me so long this time, sorry about that). Thanks to everybody for participating. I hope that you like your prompts and that you'll enjoy writing/drawing them.

Also, fyi: because of the large number of participants, several fics will be posted per day once posting starts. But more about that in a few weeks.

Great work as always! 53 - that's craaaazy (but exciting)! I was thinking the other day that just trying to keep straight what people want to give vs. what they can write vs. show/book verse would literally make my brain break so you deserve all the kudos in the world.

Thanks. It's pretty crazy, but at least show vs. book is not much of a problem because most participants have read the books, so I just have to remember the handful who hasn't. But other than that it's kind of a nightmare. Glad it's appreciated. :)

Ugh, that sucks (if you got it right). I'm sorry. I don't know why people can't keep their mouths shut about their giftees. It's one thing to say "I love/hate my prompts", but not more. Sorry. :( But I'm happy you like your prompts. Thank you.

Oh, I don't mind. I mostly find it funny because it's a long-running joke that I'm an accidental internet stalker. Forever stumbling on things like this, or rl friends, or my brother (and that truly is his fault!).

Actually I do exchanges mostly because I really enjoy making things for other people, so the surprise part is no big deal at all. But of course I like the person's work, since I creep on them on tumblr (then again, I creep on a lot of people on tumblr. It's a bad habit).

Haha, not really. Is it still a selfless thing if you do it for selfish reasons? Somehow things just turn out better if there's someone specific I'm making them for and I get more enjoyment out of it, so it's more about me than the person I'm giving it to. A bit of both, maybe. Selfish selflessness?
And I track the "lokean" tumblr tag for exactly that reason (which is probably even worse because dear lord that tag and the shit some people say), so nobody's perfect...

All selflessness is selfish, no? ^^ But I see your point. Making something for someone else also forces you to finish rather than just stop when you don't feel like it anymore.

Got it and thank you. The only problem I have is deciding which one to write, they are all so good.

If I end up writing more than one, can I mail them in a bundle or should I send all separately? Do you need any prior notification or is it OK just to send and explain in the mail?

You can send them all together and just explain in the e-mail, nothing else necessary. The only requirement is that at least one of your fics needs to meet the minimum word count (so you can't write two 500-word-fics, but at least one of them needs to be 1000 words long).
