If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so the other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. A prompt should not be a plot outline. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by March 16th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

I love writing romance, character studies, character histories (to some extent), angst (mostly of the variety that has some sort of happy/hopeful ending), FLUFF, all kinds of family relationships, and I have a gigantic boner for modern AUs.

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? No rape/dubcon please. I'm not into heavy politics and really dark stuff (though I don't mind writing violence and angst). Super open to writing trans* and nonbinary characters.

What genre of fic do you generally want? All ratings fine; f/f, m/m and gen are all a-okay. I love when authors explore characters, their personalities and motivations. I also like missing scenes and what-ifs. Romance is wonderful, especially wooing and courtship. I'm all about the fluffy stuff. While I equally love angsty and serious stuff, I'd prefer a happy ending. Modern AUs are great.

**IMPLIED ADWD SPOILERS**

1. Margaery/Sansa - AU where Margaery is the second child of Ned and Catelyn, and Sansa is the last child of Mace and Alerie. What changes about them, what remains the same, and what is their romance like?

2. Alayaya - Tell me a little about her life at the brothel and her relationship with her mother and the other girls. I'm mostly looking for female centric friendship, but I'd never say no to femslash. Little to no Tyrion involvement please.

3. Jon/Sam - Modern AU. Anything where they navigate a burgeoning relationship together while in uni, featuring Jon going to Robb and Sansa (and maybe Theon) for advice, Sam working up the courage to come out to his father, Sam being incredibly ticklish. (Fit these in or don't as you see fit!)

4. Tommen, Loras - Future/post-war. Tommen still remembers his boyhood hero, and his feelings about him remain unchanged, disfigured though the Knight of Flowers may now be. (If Tommen's crush is requited, please let him be 16+!) Cersei/Margaery in the background would be great in any measure.

5. Cat/Brienne or Melisandre/Selyse - Modern AU. A few years after Ned's death, Cat starts dating again. Tell me about how all the Stark kids eventually fall in love with Brienne (whether or not R+L=J is up to you). Mixing in some mother-son and mother-daughter bonding would be great too! OR, a few years after Selyse and Stannis' divorce, Selyse starts dating Melisandre. Same deal: tell me about how Mel and Shireen eventually get close.

Those are just the characers in the present canon I really like. I also loooove everything Pre-asoaif too. Like Ancient Targs, ancient westeros, anything Robert's Rebellion. I'm not at all big on Dany/her story but I wouldn't be opposed to doing an artwork of book!Dany since nearly all the art of her is based off the show. Could be interesting to do some art off her book description. Also I like wolves so direwolves would be cool to work on.

1)I would love some sigil re-designs for Stannis,the Starks,The Greyjoys,the Tullys or the Martells sine I think their sigils in the show are kind of meh. Even taking liberties with the book description is totally cool with me, just make it look awesome pick one, or how ever many you want it's up to you!.
2)Bran, or Rickon, or both with their wolf/wolves. Book descriptions for their features, I don't see a lot of art of them at all and when I do they hardly have the Tully coloring of Auburn/red hair and blue eyes.
3) Book!Jon, with Ghost, or just him I'm not picky. Not enough book art of him either.
4) I really like wolves in general, so any of the direwolves. I love to picture them as huge like almost the size of a horse or something, so go nuts.
5) And of course Stannis or Shireen, any age, I need more book!art of the Baratheons and their awesome features.
6) Sansa,Ygritte,Edmure,or Cat, just because gingers make great subjects.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? I quite like AUs and Crossovers, I also prefer slash over any other romantic type of writing. I like college AUs, clubbing AUs, modern AUs and also canon fic. I also like dating site scenarios where it actually works out.

1. Renly/Loras or Jon/Robb- They are roommates in College and are very attracted to each other but each of them is from an important family that expects them to make political marriages and so they are hesitant to act on their attraction to each other. Insert Angst.

2. Jon/Robb or Renly/Loras or Arya/Gendry- Jon and Robb are both in different bands on the same tour. They start out absolutely hating each other but as time passes, they develop a grudging respect for one another. On a rare night off, the two are abandoned by their respective bands and decide to drink together. By the end of the night, they're naked in one of their bunks and have no idea how they'd done such a one-eighty.

3. Arya/Gendry- Instead of joining with the brotherhood, Arya and Gendry make it to the wall. Arya remains dressed as a man for the remainder of her life and takes her vows, alongside Gendry. Jon Snow keeps her secret and the shared secret that she and Gendry are lovers. Overall, I am looking for fic where Arya and Gendry are both Crows and what happens to them while they are on the wall.

4. Sansa/Jaime- After King Joffrey and Queen Cersei are both killed by poison, Jaime knows that Sansa will be blamed for the act so he spirits her away, back to Winterfell. They develop feelings about each other along the way.

1. Jon/Sansa: She resents the fact that he’s her only kin left, and that he’s brave, gentle, and strong—the kind of man her father wanted her to marry. Romance is fine, as is a platonic friendship between the two of them once they’re able to reunite.

2. Stannis gets something that he wants/believes should be his for a change, be it Storm’s End, a son, the position of Hand of the King to Robert, or the Iron Throne. How does this change him, and is he more satisfied with his life?

3. Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Jon: Davos essentially saved Stannis’ life during the Storm’s End Siege. Turn the tables and have Stannis save Davos’ life, be it from a physical or political danger. I’d also like to see this prompt with Stannis saving Jon from something. This can be as gen, UST-y, or slashy as you want.

4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. If you want to use R+L=J, please keep the same ambiguity levels as the books.

5. AGOT AU: What if Ned simply refused Robert’s request to become Hand of the King? What kind of repercussions would this have for the politics of the realm and the major families (Starks, Baratheons, and Lannisters primarily)? Spin this however you want, such as a story focusing on what the Starks would be doing post Robert’s visit, the Lannisters doing their best to get rid of the newest Hand, Robert deciding to take a more proactive role as king and (since he can’t rely on Ned Stark for everything) fix relations with Stannis and Renly, etc.

6. Get one of these pairs of characters to meet up/interact post ADWD (or at another time during canon if it’s more interesting): Stannis and Tyrion, Stannis and Jon, Stannis and Sansa, Jon and Davos, Jon and Tyrion, Jon and Tyrion and Sansa, Jon and Tyrion and Stannis, Jon and Theon, Jon and Jorah, Jon and Jaime, Jon and Arya, Davos and Stannis, Davos and Stannis and Ned, Davos and Tyrion, Davos and Theon, Tyrion and Arya, or Tyrion and Jaime. Basically, I’m down with anything as long as it isn’t super happy/fluffy.

1. Cersei/Jaime, Cersei meets Jaime in secret and tells him she is pregnant with their first child. I’d love if this could get smutty.
2. Melisandre/Selyse. “An image burning in her mind, and between her thighs.”
3. While Lancel is in the Riverlands at Castle Darry with his new wife, he meets Ser Bonifer Hasty. There they bond over the Faith of the Seven and their heartbreak.
4. Jon Connington never got to consummate his desire for Rhaegar, but that doesn’t mean he didn’t fantasize about what Rhaegar would be like as a lover. Young Griff doesn’t only receive training in history, languages and other highborn topics; Jon also grooms him to behave sexually the way he thinks Rhaegar would have done.
5. Rhaegar reads young Viserys a story. (Bonus if Rhaella is around and it’s told from her POV)
6. Any of my characters/pairings. Biker gang AU, post-apocalyptic optional. Have at it!

I love writing modern AUs, or any AUs, but can also stay in-canon. My writing is usually focused on the characters/relationships than moving the ASOIAF plot forward past where the books are. Not good at Westeros politics.

1. Davos and Stannis at Shireen and Devan's wedding. (can be modern AU, canon divergent, canon compliant, slash or friendship or whatever)
2. Stannis is sleeping with (either literally sleeping or having sex with) someone else, but thinks of Davos. All the porn and longing!
3. Davos' childhood, his parents, siblings, and anything else. What in his early experiences or personality led him to where he is now? So far it's a mystery. AU, canon, anything.
4. How did Selyse and Melisandre meet? And/or: what does Shireen think of her mother and of Melisandre and this whole R'hllor thing? Mel/Selyse shippy is A-OK.
5. Anything Stannis/Davos shippy! Gen to total filth. Write whatever strikes your fancy about these two.

Art:

1. “Then rise again, Davos Seaworth, and rise as Lord of the Rainwood, Admiral of the Narrow Sea, and Hand of the King.”
2. Shireen and Devan (and/or Edric and Patchface) -- anything you like.

Probably best to stay away from killing off anyone sympathetic. Also don't like Stannis being a straight-up asshole. I think the guy means well.

I'm not really interested in Jon, Targaryens, Greyjoys (excepting Asha), or the Martells. It’s fine if they’re background or minor characters.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? (Gen, slash, het, angst, fluff, romance, smut, character studies, AUs, future fics etc.) I do like modern AUs, but I think I pretty much read it all. Slash, het, it’s all good. I do not like the rape, torture stuff though.

1. Stannis wins at Blackwater. There are consequences both good and bad for Sansa. ( It doesn’t need to be a pairing—I would love something political or character-based).
2. Cersei is married off to Roose after the Purple Wedding. Neither is thrilled about it, but they make a go of it. (Bonus points if Cersei gets the upper hand).
3. Something fluffy with Tommen. Thinking modern AU. (Bonus points if kittens and beets are woven into it).
4. Tyrion is married off to Margaery and they hit it off. They become a political force to be reckoned with.
5. A story with Tywin and Myrcella. Anything really.
6. Shireen goes exploring at the Wall. As long as it has a happy ending, go crazy.

3) Cat and Ned first meeting.
4) Rhaegar wins AU, Lyanna survives ToJ. After Lyanna pleads for his life, Ned retreats back to Winterfell where he struggles to forgive Lyanna, who is desperate for a reconciliation. Bonus points for Benjen-in-the-middle.
5) Bran is Lord of Winterfell and feels unworthy because he cannot dispense justice the Stark way. Lyanna Mormont sets out to prove that with her by his side, he doesn't need to swing the sword.
6) Take any of my preferred pairings and run with it.

2. Jon/Sam... anything really? I'm partial to post-series where they're sort of settled somewhere (idk, either lord commander/maester, or king/hand, or anything like that), but if you want to write modern AU where they share the same cupcake at Starbucks or idk something where everyone else at the Wall tries to get them to be together because they can't stand the UST anymore I'm not going to to say no. Honest as long as it's this ship I'm good.
3. Jaime/Brienne, post-series: they go to Essos or wherever and become the only two honest sellswords in the continent (meaning: they'll only take a job if it's for some honorable reason/if doing it is the knightly thing to do).
4. Post-series and possibly in a post-series environment where everyone has patched things up and no one who hasn't died yet is still alive as well: whichever Stark is in charge at Winterfell decides it's time to give Robb a proper funeral. All the surviving Starks + Jeyne W. + Jeyne P. + Theon should attend. Anyone else up to you. If it ends up with everyone getting royally drunk while telling stories about Robb Irish wakes style I won't say no but really as long as it's eventually cathartic I'm game.

I mostly write serious angsty fic about character's internal lives but I've been known to cook up crack-driven AUs from time-to-time. I am down with gen and can write het, when the pairing appeals. I'm not much good at writing explicit NC-17 sex so, yet again, I'm going to ask you to refrain from giving me 5 prompts for kinky Bloody Mummers PWP. That's okay, right?

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I really want to write fic where I get to write an ode to show!Oberyn, because I know he's going to be everything I ever wanted. 4. You know what, before the show goes and messes with it too much, I would actually love a fic about the Martells. Any Martell you like. Oberyn and Doran interacting; or the Sand Snakes being awesome; or precious, beautiful frog-prince Quent. Or write me a love letter to the sand and dust of Dorne, the way its landscape changes as you cross the Marches, what you find there.

The story you always wanted to tell, about the ship you love that has always gone unwritten, or that AU that's been niggling in the back of your mind or the ballad of a character you see differently than everyone else. Preferred characters and/or pairings: I will try for everything. I think I'm better with the young generation though and the Northern families.

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: I'm no good with the Lannisters. Pretty sure I would be rubbish for Daenarys too.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I'm good at weird AU's or so I've been told. Future fics are easier. I don't mind smut. Fluff and romance and brotp is all cool.

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? No I don't think so. I will need a beta ♥.

Preferred characters and/or pairings: Anything with my favourites. Rickon, Sansa, Davos, Jon Snow, Manderly's, Reed's, Greyjoy's (Victarionnnnn), Stannis, Margaery Tyrell, I don't mind the Martell's. Tbh really fair, I'm very easy to please because I do love a lot of the characters. Now pairings, I don't really care. I do have an affection for Rickon/Shireen, Jon/Sansa, Victarion/Asha, Alice Karstark/Thenn and Robb/Roose but let's not be hasty and close the door to the others. All you need to know is that I'm not huge on the Lannisters. I tolerate Tyrion, enjoy Tywin, Kevan and Gemma. But that's it.

Characters and/or pairings you do NOT want to see/read about: Not huge on the Lannisters really but I don't mind reading it sometimes. Dany/Jon is not my favourite thing either but I don't truly mind anymore.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? Gimme everything!!! èé

- Future!Fic: Rickon and Shireen. They didn't had time for childhood, not with the war or anything. That day, they just pretend they are 4 and have fun in the lake (make it shippy or friendship, it's all god).

- TVshow!verse. Robb actually listens to Roose. Shiffting everything. [Fic only but if you want to draw Roose whispering to Robb, be my guest]

- Victarion sitting on the Iron Throne and dying on it. Somehow *:c*

- Davos and Stannis reunion post-ADWD. Bonus if there's Rickon and Manderly somewhere :3.

- Sansa in Winterfell. At last.

- AU! Harry Potter. Teen stuff. Choose your characters but it has to be around Jon/Sansa or Alys/Thenn.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? I like things on the darker side, but not really angst-for-the-sake-of-angst dark, if that makes any sense? But dark themes is a YES. Character studies are great, or relationship studies. Exploring themes like morality or trust and loyalty is always lovely. Or murder, ahahah.

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:

-Stannis and Davos, in some future where (I wish) Stannis is king with Davos as his Hand. (If fic: I care less about exactly how they ended up there and more how it has changed them and their relationship. There sure can be romantic attraction in there, if you're a Stannis/Davos shipper, but don't make it the focus.)

-Jaqen! Could I get some assassin in action? You can put Arya in here, if you'd like. But yeah. Sneaky murder.

-Arya. Either in Braavos in some future stage of her training, getting some assassinating of her own done. (If fic: how she adapts to that, justifies it/doesn't feel the need to, etc. Or even a future in which she returns to Westeros and her identity, and how she reconciles that role with what she was in Baavos.)

-The traditional Boltwin prompt! Let's pretend Tywin's still around, Roose has secured his position as Warden of the North, and Tywin pays a visit to the Dreadfort. Let's have some sweet scheming and sweeter love. Walda can so be there and in on it, if you'd like, as long as she and Roose are happy together.

-Coldhands carrying Bran. Wouldn't that be precious?

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: Romance and sex don't do much for me. I don't exactly mind it, but pure fluff or PWP just isn't my thing. (Unless it's Boltwin and delivered with a side of scheming, because their ship doesn't get nearly enough action. Poor old mans).
