If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that work for both. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write (and similarily, I will have trouble finding a recipient for you if you only offer to write/draw pairings or characters that nobody requested). The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by August 2nd. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to every email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Either ask someone to beta read your fic for you or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, you can contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:

1) Stannis/Jon or Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Sansa: post-war, Stannis has won the throne and someone tries to assassinate him. Up to you whether he is injured or just shaken up, up to you how he survived the assassination attempt (sheer luck? did his Kingsguard save him?). I mostly want to see Stannis' reaction to the whole thing as well as the person(s) of your choice fretting/taking care of him/feeling guilty for not being better at protecting him (especially if you write about Kingsguard!Jon) or however else they react to almost losing him. If you want to include more political plotting, that'd be great, too.

2) a Stannis-centric fic set after the War for the Dawn. Let's assume the Others have been defeated (preferably with a minimum of prophecies, magic swords, dragons and the like) and that Stannis and Jon have grown closer during said war (for any given value of 'closer'). Where do they go from there? Does Jon come South with Stannis as his Kingsguard? Does he insist on staying at the Wall? Has Davos found Rickon? What is Sansa up to? I love alliances between Stannis and the North, I'm definitely here for Stannis winning the Iron Throne; both Stannis/Sansa (as a surprisingly successful political marriage) and Stannis/Jon (as grumpy-allies-turned-friends-and/or-lovers) make me very happy, but I'll also gladly take genfic about politics and wars and scheming. I also love angsty "I want to come with you but what about my dutyyyyy?" shipfic for Stannis/Jon if you don't want to write plotty stuff.

3) Maegor Targaryen and Orys Baratheon. I once received a wonderful fic (http://got-exchange.livejournal.com/125440.html) that included a brief mention of Orys being the family member Maegor got along with best. I'd love to see a more detailed exploration of this. Uncle-nephew-bonding, sparring with each other, hanging out with Balerion, Orys trying to get Maegor to accept his role as the younger brother while also understanding his frustration and thinking that Aenys won't make much of a king, or something set after Aegon's death ... anything really.
Or: any fic exploring the parallels and mostly differences between Aegon/Orys and Maegor/Aenys (I'd love for it to be slashy, but just brotherly relationships are okay, too).

4) a post-ADWD confrontation between Euron and Victarion (I don't mind a bit of canon divergence from ADWD itself). I love Victarion, so I'd prefer if he was the one to survive, and I'd rather not receive a fic that is all about Daenerys and her dragons. What I want is Ironborn scheming or warfare, Victarion meeting up again with Aeron, or Asha convincing Victarion to kill Euron (or just helping him kill Euron, this is Asha we're talking about ;)); give me bloody fratricide and Victarion having a breakdown because the kinslayer is accursed in the eyes of gods and men. Gen is fine, but I'd also be happy about completely messed up, dubcon/noncon Victarion/Euron and/or (consensual) Victarion/Asha.

5) Victarion/Asha ruling the Iron Islands together post-series. I don't care if it's King Victarion with Asha as his advisor, or Queen Asha with Victarion as her right hand man, or even puppet king!Theon with Vic and Asha manipulating him together (can be post-Ramsay!Theon or AU!Theon who didn't have Ramsay happen to him) . Just show me what their shared rule looks like and how they work together and how they started working together and all that. Bonus for additional smut (but no complete PWP please).

--> Feel free to combine these prompts in any way you like, or to include any of the pairings and characters I like even if I didn't explicitly mention them in the prompt.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: While I love some of the historical Targaryens, I don't care for House Targaryen by the time ASOIAF happens, so please no secret Targaryens (no R+L=J), Targaryens and/or dragons saving Westeros from the Others etc. I really don't like the show, so please stick to book characterisations and descriptions (especially for Stannis). And I unironically love Victarion, no bashing the poor guy please.
