I'm mostly into slash but UST & gen are good, too. I like a bit of psychological depth but I will go for silly out-there AUs where romance beats out angst and neuroses, too. Give at least three and up to five prompts/ideas: 1. 5 times Theon Greyjoy's heart broke (not necessarily romantic) or just any Theon character study-ish piece. 2. Jon/Robb - Instead of being brought back to Castle Black by his brothers, Jon goes to Robb's side (you decide what happens when he gets there) 3. [PLOT SPOILERS FOR ACOK] Theon/Robb (or Robb and Theon), what would have happened if Theon hadn't turned his cloak? what would have changed? (you can decide whether he goes back to the Iron Islands at any point or not) 4. Jon/Robb - AU. Anything which changes their basic circumstances. It can be within the canon universe (Jon stays in Starfall instead of being brought North and Robb meets him later? They're both squires and meet at a tourney? They still grow up together but something else is different?) or outside of it (maybe they go to boarding school together or they play doubles tennis or they're in a band, ANYTHING). I just love seeing these boys in different scenarios. 5. Anything relating to the characters/ships I've listed. Or just write me something weird and twisted and mythic. Make Jon into Orpheus. Tell me about the song that no-one ever wrote about Sansa and how she was glad about it. Write about the moment that Stannis realised he was different from his brothers - people flocked to Robert and laughed with him, Renly could win a room with a smile but smiles come less easily to Stannis - tell me how that feels. Tell me the story of every character who never had a home or had it taken from them - so many of them simply cannot go home, if I had a sentence for every one of them I might end up with half a novel but you can just pick one or a handful. Just tell me something. Tell me a story which needs to be told or one that should never be given voice. Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story: Split infinitives! (No, sorry, that's a joke. I am lame. I split infinitives all the time and I only sometimes feel bad about it.) But, hmm, I'm not majorly into pwp - I'd rather see something subtle and UST-y than porn-without-character-development. Also, not a fan of mpreg or non-con being treated as though it's no big deal.
Are you willing to beta read for other writers? I'm not confident in my beta reading skills - but I might be able to step in. I'd need guidelines from the author as to whether they want concrit or just someone to check for grammar/spelling issues. Are you willing to pinch hit? I can't make any promises about being available to pinch hit but I am very willing to receive an email asking if I can closer to the time, should you need someone.
