With the exception of one unexpected drop-out this round went exceptionally well and I'm very happy about that. My thanks to arcco and janie_tangerine for pinch-hitting - and of course thanks to everyone else who participated or commented. Btw, don't forget that if you repost your fic on AO3, you can add it to the got_exchange collection. And if you catch up on any fic and art you've missed so far, be sure to leave a comment to let the author/artist know if you liked their work.

A few rounds ago I stopped doing polls about when the next exchange should take place because the answer was always "as soon as possible", but considering how slow sign-ups were this time, I'm wondering if everyone is maybe a bit burnt out and wants a break. Or maybe everyone who skipped round nine can't wait for round ten now, I don't know.

Thanks again for a very smooth exchange! Despite my fic being late (as always) I had a lot of fun writing it and have been delighted by the feedback. Although fewer people took part this time I feel like there is more consistent commenting this time round? Not sure if that's an accurate impression but it's definitely felt like lots of people are reading a good proportion of the fics.

Oh, I absolutely agree, I maybe should have elaborated on "this round went exceptionally well" because I was thinking of that, too. The large majority of people were on time or even sent in their fic before the deadline (usually one or two people do that, not a third of the participants), and the people who were late were almost all previous participants whom I trust not to disappear on me. ;) And there have been a lot of comments, and also a lot of long, well thought out comments, which is great because in the past people have sometimes complained about the lack of feedback they've received in this exchange. So yeah, I'm incredibly happy about this round. It was small, but really good.

And I'm glad you enjoyed participating again. :D

This was my first time participating, and it was a great experience! I had a wonderful time both giving and receiving fic, and I loved seeing everyone's excellent work and different perspectives. Thank you, mods, and thank you, community!
