If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by July 13th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post. Don't be shy. They signed up because they want to help.

I do like modern AUs, but I have no problem with canon. No preference as to genre; it’s all good. I do not like the rape, torture stuff, though.

1. Stannis wins at Blackwater. There are consequences both good and bad for Sansa. ( It doesn’t need to be a pairing or shippy—I would actually prefer something politicaly or character-based).
2. Cersei is married off to Roose after the Purple Wedding. Neither is thrilled about it, but they make a go of it. (Bonus points if Cersei gets the upper hand).
3. Tyrion is married off to Margaery and they hit it off. They become a political force to be reckoned with. (canon)
4. A story with Tywin and Myrcella. Anything really.
5. Shireen goes exploring at the Wall (thinking this should be set in canon). As long as it has a happy ending, go crazy.

No Starkcest, no incest (unless we’re talking about what happened in the books or show). I would rather not have gratuitous torture

2. Canon-divergent AU where Catelyn has to remarry after Ned's execution. I'd prefer Jaime, Tywin, or Theon for her new husband, but someone like Great Jon Umber could be interesting too.

3. A Sansa/Sandor future!fic via an Arya POV.

4. Something about normal everyday life in King's Landing prior to AGoT from the POV of either Sandor, Stannis, Jaime, or Cersei.

5 . Something about Amerei "Gatehouse Ami" Frey - what it was like growing up as part of the huge Frey brood, the aftermath of the Red Wedding, speculative future!fic. FYI I totally ship her and Harwyn "Hardstone" Plumm.

6. A comprehensive biography of either Catelyn or Cersei, filling in the gaps of what we know about their childhood, youth, early years of their marriage, politics, etc.

book vs. show preferences? I've read all the books and seen all the shows. I like both of them equally, but have a few favorite elements of each which I'll specify in my prompts.

Fic and/or fanart? Fic

Preferred characters and/or pairings: All Starks, especially the kids. All Lannisters. All Tullys. (Tullies?) All Tyrells. Brienne. Anything in the past - I'd love to fill out the history of Westeros (although I haven't read the prequel novellas, so, er, not that part of the past?)

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: No pairings of adults and children or adults and teens (but teen-teen romance is fine); no incest besides what's already in canon. No Greyjoys, Martells, Boltons, Freys, or Cleganes; not a fan of Dany and Co. I love Varys and Littlefinger, but doubt I could do justice to writing them.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I strongly prefer gen. I'm happy to write fluff, romance, most AUs. If you want a battle or tournament, I can totally do that! What genre of fic/art do you generally want? Something happy! I've requested these characters because I like them, and I don't want anything sadder to happen to them than already has happened to them. Romance is great, but I prefer some plot with my slash. I love mysteries, too.

1. Maisie Williams, who plays Arya on the series, said in a recent interview: "I've always had in the back of my mind that Sansa would be a fantastic Queen and Arya would be her Hand." If there is a way to do that without being totally ridiculous, I'd love to see that world! Maybe it's an AU; maybe Arya's in disguise or Faceless; maybe it's something else. I'd be extra happy if there's some Sansa/Margaery in there.
2. In Season 2, Littlefinger saw Arya at Harrenhal. I'd love a story in which he recognized her, but chose to keep quiet about her identity. What could make him keep a secret likethat?
3. Arya and Bran communicating somehow. Maybe it's through dreams; maybe it's through wolves. But I'd love for them to talk to each other, and for both to know that the other is OK. Maybe even for one of them to help the other in some way?
4. Tyrion in Book 5, recovering from his trauma and regaining his awesomeness. Give him a mystery to solve, a puzzle to put together, something to get that amazing mind working again. (Besides the one that's in the book already, obviously :) It would be extra great to include Penny, but it doesn't have to be a Tyrion/Penny romance
5. Kevan and Tywin Lannister as kids or teens. Why does Kevan worship Tywin so much?
6. Sansa/Margaery wild card! Anything sweet and happy with Sansa/Margaery romance.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: Pet peeves: I'm not a fan of the Five Things structure; I strongly prefer a single continuous story. More serious things that bother me: same as the things I'm not comfortable writing: rape, graphic sex or violence, bad things happening to children. No humiliation. No excessive misogyny, even if it's in the voice of a character who would say something like that. Also, no character bashing - if you don't like a character, just leave them out. (If the characters hate each other, that's fine, of course.)

2. Jon is dead for good. The Wall must cope without its Lord Commander as the Others grow near.
3. What happened to Aeron Greyjoy after the Kingsmoot?
4. After the war, Stannis and Davos take a roadtrip to the Free Cities and see what they're like, and finally realize their feelings for one another.
5. Sweets' story. Where is she from? What happened to him?
6. Daenerys is not a true Targaryen- rather the real Daenerys died, and she was replaced with a Lyseni orphan (Lyseni are said to be of similar colouring). She finds this out.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? All ratings fine; f/f, m/m and gen are all a-okay. I love when authors explore characters, their personalities and motivations. I also like missing scenes and what-ifs. Romance is wonderful, especially wooing and courtship. I'm all about the fluffy stuff. While I equally love angsty and serious stuff, I'd prefer a happy ending. Modern AUs are great. Art-wise, I'm cool with pretty much anything! (Just no excessive gore.)

1. Margaery/Sansa - Post-war. Sansa is the Stark in Winterfell/Queen in the North; whichever you prefer. Margaery, newly widowed/free from her latest husband, is determined to woo her properly this time around.
2. Benjen - AU where something prevents him from going out on that ranging, so he's still at Castle Black when plot related stuff goes down. I'd love to see Benjen+Jon, them talking about Ned, reactions to his death... or if you want to do something set in the future, does Benjen become Lord Commander? How does he deal with Stannis&co. when they're at the Wall?
3. Oberyn, Sand Snakes - When they're kids, he has a different method for putting each daughter to bed.
4. Tommen, Loras - Future/post-war. Tommen still remembers his boyhood hero, and his feelings about him remain unchanged, disfigured though the Knight of Flowers may now be. (If Tommen's crush is requited, please let him be 16+!) Cersei/Margaery in the background would be great in any measure.
5. Asha/Alysane - Alysane is fostered on Pyke for whatever reason. They grow up together, becoming fast friends. After Balon's Rebellion, Alysane is sent back home. Fast forward a few years later... (Or anything really, with the premise of 'Asha and Aly have history.')
6. Any of my preferred pairings/characters/families with this poem as inspiration: “And then the day came, / when the risk / to remain tight / in a bud / was more painful / than the risk / it took / to blossom.” (Anais Nin.)

ART

1. Brienne/Sansa/Margaery - cheek-kissing! The girls standing on their tip-toes or on objects to get to Brienne's cheeks would be pretty cute.
2. Robb/Theon - surreptitiously holding hands.
3. Alayaya - relaxing and reading while she has some downtime.
4. Jhogo, Aggo, Rakharo - wielding the weapons that Dany gifted them with (whip, bow, arakh).
5. Anything cute with one of my preferred ships. :)

- Preemptive fix-it for the last book: Stannis and Shireen straight up move to Cape Wrath thus forming a joint Baratheon-Seaworth family. Mel and Selyse send letters and souvenirs from the aforementioned Hella Cool Roadtrip and sometimes people visit their little estate with news from the rest of Westeros. Basically a cute-ass retirement fic. Personal headcanon: Marya/Stannis/Davos and Stannis is asexual. If you could fit Shireen/Arya into this I would disintegrate.
- Stark kids are constantly embarrassed by their family. I know this is sickeningly domestic but I feel it deep in my soul.
- Maester Cressen being a dad, RIP (Bonus for including Pylos)
- Arya, Myrcella, and Shireen's righteous girl gang. Sometimes they pet cats.

3. Does anyone else on this exchange ship SanSan? What if she is the one who rescues him from Gregor somehow? UST or smut A++
4. How did Selyse and Melisandre meet? And/or: what does Shireen think of her mother and of Melisandre and this whole R'hllor thing? Mel/Selyse shippy is A-OK.
5. Asha's life growing up. How did she handle each of those uncles and how is she with her parents? What made her the badass she is?
6. Anything Stannis/Davos ... Gen to total filth, AU or canon, angst or happy ending. Write whatever strikes your fancy about these two.

1. AU. Robert loses the rebellion but survives, while Rhaegar and Aerys still die, leaving the Martells in control. Stannis is subsequently sent to Dorne as a hostage, and Oberyn Martell is charged with looking after him. (Can be crack or serious).
2. (Technically show!canon, but could fit in with the books as well) Jon Snow is captured by Others and taken to their icy lair where they try to make him one of them. Author's choice as to how that works, and what happens next.
3. Daemon!AU of your choice. (No need to know HDM well, I don't). There can never be enough Daemon AUs. Preferably with a focus on the Baratheon brothers, but throw anyone else in who isn't on my DNW list.
4. Future!fic. Ten/fifteen years later, Westeros is split across the middle, Daenerys ruling the south as the Prince who was Promised, and Shireen ruling the north (including the Riverlands, Vale, and Iron Islands) as Azhor Ahai. Dany has her dragons, Shireen has the real Lightbringer. They're at a stalemate. Write a council scene for both queens with any other characters you want. (No Rickon/Shireen, please)
5. Modern!Law and Order!AU. The Night's Watch are the police who investigate crime, Stannis is the ADA who prosecutes the offenders. Write one of their stories, or as much of one as you want.
6. With Davos gone, Stannis needs a Hand. Somehow, however unofficially, Asha Greyjoy ends up filling the role, and even more strangely comes to realise that she and Stannis have become... friends.

1. Roose/Sansa. Sansa is somehow removed/rescued from King’s Landing, only to find herself betrothed her to Roose Bolton. Thinking of something creepy/moody/sexy/possibly a ray of weird cuteness more so than total angst.
2. Sansa/Theon. Ned took Theon to King’s Landing along with Sansa and Arya. After Ned’s execution, Theon and Sansa are captives. What happens? Can be romantic or platonic. Bonus points if this affects the political landscape in unexpected ways. Other Greyjoys are totally welcome but by no means a must.
3. Oberyn/Ellaria/Theon. Theon was shipped to Dorne as a hostage-ward instead. He's an effin' brat at first but eventually makes friends with the Martells (possibly a squire for Oberyn). One day, Oberyn and Ellaria have a discussion--when did their kraken-ward get so attractive?
4. Gen; whatever strikes .Jaime never learns that the Jeyne!Arya is a fake. Brienne is searching for Sansa so he goes north to retrieve "Arya," by quasi-honest or duplicitous means. Roose is suspicious, Jaime’s getting uneasy, and Ramsay’s…Ramsay. Thus begins a night of mind games, danger, quick thinking, and assorted WTFery. Theon and Jeyne are wild cards. Go where your inner psycho leads, but I prefer creepily interesting situations over torture porn. Showish!Boltons are a bonus but not a must.
5.Gen; potentially Tommen/Margaery. Tommen is king into adulthood and develops a politically astute mind. However, he knows he's stayed safe because everyone thinks he's a sweet ball of fluff (who got very pretty over the years); it grates on him that his court/vassals don't take him seriously and consider him a puppet. He tries to change this perception without entirely showing his hand. Margaery knows the truth (their relationship is up to the writer).
6. Gen. Stannis struck a bargain with Asha--if she brings Sansa back and Littlefinger to justice, he'll spare Theon and support her against Euron. Littlefinger is enjoying a lesson with Sansa when a horde of Ironborn smash their way in--something he's never accounted for, and someone he can't bargain with. How Petyr unravels and how Sansa takes everything is up to the writer.

1. Can I please have post-series Jaime and Tyrion reconciliation fic? (if you want to do this based on the show and want to include the whole 'Jaime would have sacrificed his spot in the kingsguard to save Tyrion's life' thing you're welcome really) I just really love their relationship a lot :( if you want to have some Jaime/Brienne on the side I'm not going to say no but it's optional.

2. Robb/Theon, totally improbable ACOK canon divergence: instead of doing the Winterfell stint, when Theon realizes that his dad doesn't give a damn about him but he hardly can go back to Robb without a ship, possibly disinherited and the likes, he warns him of his father's plans and then takes the black (all the while feeling pretty gloomy about it obviously). Not long later, instead of wasting time south, Robb goes to the Wall when the NW asks for help against the Others. (Angsty?) reunion occurs - either they had an established relationship or they fess up, it's the same. Bonus points for other Wall people showing up. Extra bonus if after they win (and obviously no one dies) Robb takes a lot of trips to the Wall and no one buys the 'it's to see Jon' excuse.

3. Theater company AU, not necessarily modern (18th/19th century? Early 20th century? I can also work with proper modern AU obviously). Preferred characters/ships centered, but feel free to add in whoever. They have to put on a play (or musical if you want it to be current times) and they don't have too much time. It goes as well as one can imagine. No particular preferences for who does what but if Stannis is the director and Davos is the stage manager (and incidentally the only person in the company Stannis doesn't want to murder) I'll love you forever.

4. Post-series (well, could also be years in the future, your pick really): the Others are defeated, someone relatively sane my preference is team Stannis + Davos but whatever you want really is in charge/on the Iron throne, enough time has passed, singers start to write songs about the war. Or alternatively, some two hundred years after the facts, what happened in the series is definitely a good subject for songs. Who gets written songs written about them and in which terms bonus terms if the underdogs get some? Focus on ships/characters above preferred. Clearly with this one you can speculate to your hearts' content. (Idk I won't say no if it's set in the immediate future, someone writes some very noble song about Jaime and Brienne's deeds and they hear it and have A MOMENT. Or maybe you can do the five things or five + one thing. Really, just go with it.)

5. Your friendly crack prompt for this round I'm trying again: stealing becomes a common practice through the Seven Kingdoms. Bonus points if it's because a wildling ended up in charge/on the iron throne (I don't really mind who). 2. Arya: Various things in Braavos accidentally triggering her memories of home, her siblings, her parents, etc
3. Myrcella/Trystane: Word reaches Dorne that Daenerys Targaryen has taken King's Landing and executed the bastard king - and now she's headed for Dorne. Trystane is worried that, without the name of Lannister or Baratheon to protect her, Myrcella will be executed, too. He goes behind his father's back to marry her so that the Martell name can protect her instead.
4. Jaime/Brienne Hogwarts AU: She plays for the Quidditch team. He did, too, until the accident took him out for the season. Now he's the commentator, and he uses this position to distract her during every. Damned. Game. (If he makes her lose the final, he is absolutely dead.)

I don't mind them getting mentioned or even appearing if it's somehow important for the plot, but I don't want them to take up half the fic. I don't ship Jon with anyone except his duty and Stannis, so I'd rather not have a lot of Jon/Ygritte, Jon/Robb or any other Jon ship in the background.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? slash or gen. het only for Stannis/Sansa and Victarion/Asha. smut is great, but I'd rather not get a complete PWP. I like character analysis and interaction and explorations of how relationships develop over time. I find the political elements of ASOIAF more interesting than the magical stuff. Angst and dark themes are good (I don't mind violence and non-con in fics if it suits the plot and the characters), but no pure tragedy. I love some UST & repressed desires even in gen fic (especially if you write about Stannis anywhere near Davos or Jon). I enjoy in-verse AUs and what-if scenarios, but I don't like out-of-Westeros AUs (modern AUs etc.). I absolutely love Kingsguard!Jon, but I'm also fine with Jon staying at the Wall so he and Stannis can angst about not seeing each other anymore.

1) Stannis/Jon or Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Sansa: post-war, Stannis has won the throne and someone tries to assassinate him. Up to you whether he is injured or just shaken up, up to you how he survived the assassination attempt (sheer luck? did his Kingsguard save him?). I mostly want to see Stannis' reaction to the whole thing as well as the person of your choice (Jon or Davos or Sansa or all three of them) fretting/taking care of him/feeling guilty for not being better at protecting him (in Jon's case, mostly) or however else they react to almost losing him.

2) Stannis/Jon. AU in which Jon squires for Stannis. Instead of sending Jon to the Wall, Ned sends Jon South to become a squire, and Robert thinks it would be hilarious to let Ned's bastard squire for Stannis. I'd love to see some development from them being unhappy about the arrangement (Stannis feels insulted, Jon is lonely and feels unwelcome) to them learning to trust and rely on each other. Slash with grown-up/knighted Jon would be appreciated, but it isn't necessary if it doesn't fit into your fic.

3) Stannis/Jon. Stannis takes Jon to see Storm's End. I suppose this would work best in a post-war fic with Kingsguard!Jon, but if you prefer a different scenario, that's fine by me.

4) Victarion in his younger years. His childhood/youth with his brothers. Or going reaving with Balon when they were young. Or his relationship with Euron over the years. Or something about his first wives. Or the first Greyjoy Rebellion. Anything about pre-canon!Vic. Bonus if you include Balon/Victarion (or creeptastic Victarion/Euron, or troll!Aeron hitting on Victarion, or even Victarion/Asha if you write something set shortly before the books happen).

5) Victarion/Asha ruling the Iron Islands together post-series. I don't care if it's King Victarion with Asha as his advisor, or Queen Asha with Victarion as her right hand man, or even puppet king!Theon with Vic and Asha manipulating him together. Bonus for additional smut (but no complete PWP please).

6) Maegor I./Aenys I.: Maybe he would love his brother if he didn't hate him so much. Make it dark, make it messy, make it fucked up. No need to pull your punches, I'd just ask for a more complex characterisation of Maegor than "he's evil and mean to poor Aenys". Actually, bonus if their hatred is mutual.

AUs where more characters are women (especially trans women), fix-it fics for the rampant misogyny and ableism in canon, horror stories, guro, modern AUs, stories about the assorted religions/deities (especially the Stranger), creepy/dark fic (I don't write noncon, though), and plain ol' smut/PWP.

I really enjoy writing AUs. I'm not very good with the politics of Dorne/Essos, but I can write shorter stories about Daenerys; I'd rather not write anything set pre-series except Night's Watch stuff.

I live for canon divergence AUs, stories about lesbians (plot, smut, or both), creepy stories with religious/spiritual aspects, prose poetry.

1. The story of how/why Sandor named his horse Stranger.


2. Stannis and Asha as the King and Queen of Westeros. Their marriage ceremony, the battles they fought to win the throne, the battles they fought to keep it (both political and personal), their children together, what Melisandre thinks of Stannis's new queen being a worshipper of the Drowned God. Tell me about any one (or more) of these wonderful things!


3. Sansa doesn't leave King's Landing after Joffrey dies, and she and Tyrion stand trial together. Make it as happily-ever-after or as horrifying as you want.


4. While Mance is at Castle Black disguised as Rattleshirt, he blows the Horn of Joramun, which he concealed on his person. Darkness slowly (over a span of months) creeps south. Show me Melisandre's grief at seeing the prophecies about the Night That Never Ends coming true, or the psychological effects of living in darkness, or how the truth of Melisandre's warnings changes Stannis's attitude towards her (does he trust her more for having predicted it accurately, or resent her for not being able to stop it?), or how Sam reacts when he finds out. Bonus: Jon is Azor Ahai.


5. When trans girl Bran stops at Nightfort, she meets the ghost of Danny Flint. Bonus: Danny was also a trans girl, who joined the Watch before transitioning and was killed because she came out.


6. Tyrion as Daenerys's Hand, helping her train her dragons with all the knowledge from those books he's read.

I want something good to happen to the characters.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: I’m not a fan of modern settings, PWP, show versions of characters, and R + L = J beyond the ambiguity that already exists in canon. I would rather Dany and her dragons stay in Essos and not be a factor in the story at all.

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written:

1. Jon/Sansa: She resents the fact that he’s her only kin left, and that he’s brave, gentle, and strong—the kind of man her father wanted her to marry. I’m mainly interested in Jon and Sansa interacting post ADWD where neither R + L = J nor Queen Daenerys are factors. Level of romance is up to the author, from a platonic sibling relationship to a one-sided love where one party is oblivious to the depth of the other’s feelings.

2. Stannis and Davos: Something pre-canon, such as Davos helping Stannis plan the attack on Dragonstone, Davos attending Robert’s wedding and coronation at Stannis’ insistence, Stannis brooding with Davos after a frustrating small council meeting, or Stannis visiting Davos and his family on Cape Wrath. I’d like to see a focus on how the Stannis/Davos dynamic that we see in canon develops, for Stannis easily could have sent Davos off to Cape Wrath after the Storm’s End siege and never bothered with him again. While this prompt is gen, feel free to add in as much UST/repressed feelings between the two as you want.

3. Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Jon: Davos essentially saved Stannis’ life during the Storm’s End Siege. Turn the tables and have Stannis save Davos’ life, be it from a physical or political danger. I’d also like to see this prompt with Stannis saving Jon from something. This can be as gen, UST-y, or slashy as you want.

4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

5. AGOT AU: What if Ned simply refused Robert’s request to become Hand of the King? What kind of repercussions would this have for the politics of the realm and the major families (Starks, Baratheons, and Lannisters primarily)? Spin this however you want, such as a story focusing on what the Starks would be doing post Robert’s visit, the Lannisters doing their best to get rid of the newest Hand, Robert deciding to take a more proactive role as king and (since he can’t rely on Ned Stark for everything) fix relations with Stannis and Renly, etc.

6. Get one of these pairs of characters to meet up/interact post ADWD (or at another time during canon if it’s more interesting): Stannis and Tyrion, Stannis and Jon, Stannis and Sansa, Jon and Davos, Jon and Tyrion, Jon and Tyrion and Sansa, Jon and Tyrion and Stannis, Jon and Theon, Jon and Jorah, Jon and Jaime, Jon and Arya, Davos and Stannis, Davos and Stannis and Ned, Davos and Tyrion, Davos and Theon, Tyrion and Arya, or Tyrion and Jaime. I don't want anything out-and-out fluffy, but I'd prefer to avoid OUTRIGHT TRAGEDY! I love getting inside characters' heads and seeing what makes them tick. I love seeing relationships blossom, or alternately get insight into a well-established relationship. I like politics, personal drama, romance, angst, and I LOVE UST! Though even better than that is UST that is ultimately cured. ;) Smut is great though certainly not obligatory. I'm open to AUs if, for instance, they are in historical or fantasy settings that seem to have interesting parallels with GoT/ASoIAF. Please, no modern coffee shop-style AUs!

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:

1. Ned isn't executed and is allowed to take the black as planned. What happens after that is up to you - make it a way for Ned and Jon to awkwardly bond, or for Ned to try to advise Robb now he's no longer the head of the family, or go to Kings Landing and see what happens to Sansa now Ned is gone but the kingdom is not (yet?) at war...
2. Margaery/Sansa - for whatever reason Joffrey's death doesn't implicate Sansa. So she's still at court, and Margaery is married to Tommen. Both of them have husbands they've grown to respect, but they don't desire, and their growing friendship leads to more.
3. Robert's Rebellion era - Robert may have wooed Lyanna, but what he always wanted was Ned. Or Ned and Robert find unexpected consolation in each other following Lyanna's death. Is Ned's guilt on returning home less about baby Jon and more about FORBIDDEN ROMANCE with his bff?
4. Margaery becomes Queen in the North as wife to Robb after Renly's death and is sent off to rule Winterfell in Robb's absence. Margaery/Robb could be good, but really, seeing her interact with other Starks and people at Winterfell is the main thing!
5. Olenna - that scene in the show where she talks about how Luthor couldn't walk after her night with him before they were married. Doesn't that sound like he was into pegging?? Anyway, use that as inspiration if you like, but the main prompt is just Olenna as a young and wonderfully scheming young woman.
6. Catelyn is married to Brandon, but finds she falls in love with his brother Ned. This can result in angsty UST or eventually happy union or whatever you like!

Arya visits Northern Lords at her sibling's behest, has some stand-offs, busts some heads, breaks some hearts, builds an entourage, impresses some lords, and/or has adventures of some kind. [Bonus for inclusion of Arya+Lyanna Mormont or Gendry]
2. AU: It is Stannis, not Robert, who is sent to Jon Arryn to be fostered alongside Eddard Stark. This can be limited to their boyhood or as far into the future as you like.
3. What in Westeros is Jeyne Heddle going to do with all these orphans? AKA: An exploration of the effects of the war on any of the common folk we've met in Westeros.
4. Fairytale/folklore/mythology retelling/reimagining featuring any of the favored characters in my list. Stark-centric wolf folk tales, Robin Hood!Brotherhood without Banners, Berserker!Mormonts, etc., etc.
5. AU: Eddard safely leaves King's Landing with Arya, Sansa, and Gendry immediately after Robert's death. As with #2, feel free to be as limited or far-reaching as you'd like.
6. Gendry, Brienne, and Podrick follow up on an interesting rumor about the possible revelation of Sansa Stark in the Vale of Arryn [this not-so-merry band of besties may of course include Jaime and/or Hyle, depending on how you want to address the events of AFFC and ADWD].

Art:
1. Tormund is captured by a "she-bear" while raiding south of the Wall.
2. Rickon and Shaggydog meet Shireen.
3. What to do at the Wall when there's not a war on (AKA the Night's Watch is populated by a bunch of bored teenagers and cranky old codgers so surely hijinks must ensue)
4. Mythological Westeros: illustrate any element of any myth or folk tale we've heard about in the series
5. Davos Seaworth's fantastical journey to the isle of Skagos and what he found there.
6. Oberyn teaches one of his daughters to fight in the manner best suited to her.
