If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by July 13th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post. Don't be shy. They signed up because they want to help.

Have you read (all) the books? Have you seen the show? Do you have any book vs. show preferences? I've read all the books and short stories. I've seen the first two seasons of the show. I very strongly prefer the books.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I'm better with character studies, character studies via porn, and "missing scene" fics. But I'm also good with crack!fic and humor.

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I will only write book-based fic, and I prefer to write canon!verse fic. I'm best with canon-compliant fics, canon-divergence AUs, and speculative future!fics. I would prefer not to have to write modern/non-Westeros AU or genderswap.

1. Canon-divergent AU where instead of sending Brienne after Sansa, Jaime assigns her to be Cersei's bodyguard. What changes with Brienne looking out for the queen? A messy Cersei/Jaime/Brienne love triangle would be okay but is not required.

2. Canon-divergent AU where Catelyn has to remarry after Ned's execution. I'd prefer Jaime, Tywin, or Theon for her new husband, but someone like Great Jon Umber could be interesting too.

3. A Sansa/Sandor future!fic via an Arya POV.

4. Something about normal everyday life in King's Landing prior to AGoT from the POV of either Sandor, Stannis, Jaime, or Cersei.

5 . Something about Amerei "Gatehouse Ami" Frey - what it was like growing up as part of the huge Frey brood, the aftermath of the Red Wedding, speculative future!fic. FYI I totally ship her and Harwyn "Hardstone" Plumm.

6. A comprehensive biography of either Catelyn or Cersei, filling in the gaps of what we know about their childhood, youth, early years of their marriage, politics, etc.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: modern AU, Tyrion, a narrative unsympathetic to Cersei, little details from the HBO show that contradict book!canon like the Ned/Cat bedding, first person POV, genderswap
