If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by July 13th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post. Don't be shy. They signed up because they want to help.

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written:

1. Jon/Sansa: She resents the fact that he’s her only kin left, and that he’s brave, gentle, and strong—the kind of man her father wanted her to marry. I’m mainly interested in Jon and Sansa interacting post ADWD where neither R + L = J nor Queen Daenerys are factors. Level of romance is up to the author, from a platonic sibling relationship to a one-sided love where one party is oblivious to the depth of the other’s feelings.

2. Stannis and Davos: Something pre-canon, such as Davos helping Stannis plan the attack on Dragonstone, Davos attending Robert’s wedding and coronation at Stannis’ insistence, Stannis brooding with Davos after a frustrating small council meeting, or Stannis visiting Davos and his family on Cape Wrath. I’d like to see a focus on how the Stannis/Davos dynamic that we see in canon develops, for Stannis easily could have sent Davos off to Cape Wrath after the Storm’s End siege and never bothered with him again. While this prompt is gen, feel free to add in as much UST/repressed feelings between the two as you want.

3. Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Jon: Davos essentially saved Stannis’ life during the Storm’s End Siege. Turn the tables and have Stannis save Davos’ life, be it from a physical or political danger. I’d also like to see this prompt with Stannis saving Jon from something. This can be as gen, UST-y, or slashy as you want.

4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol.

5. AGOT AU: What if Ned simply refused Robert’s request to become Hand of the King? What kind of repercussions would this have for the politics of the realm and the major families (Starks, Baratheons, and Lannisters primarily)? Spin this however you want, such as a story focusing on what the Starks would be doing post Robert’s visit, the Lannisters doing their best to get rid of the newest Hand, Robert deciding to take a more proactive role as king and (since he can’t rely on Ned Stark for everything) fix relations with Stannis and Renly, etc.

6. Get one of these pairs of characters to meet up/interact post ADWD (or at another time during canon if it’s more interesting): Stannis and Tyrion, Stannis and Jon, Stannis and Sansa, Jon and Davos, Jon and Tyrion, Jon and Tyrion and Sansa, Jon and Tyrion and Stannis, Jon and Theon, Jon and Jorah, Jon and Jaime, Jon and Arya, Davos and Stannis, Davos and Stannis and Ned, Davos and Tyrion, Davos and Theon, Tyrion and Arya, or Tyrion and Jaime. Feel free to do any amount of hand-waving necessary to get the characters in the vicinity of each other.

--Feel free to combine any of my prompts and include characters/pairings mentioned on my preferred list. Jon, Stannis, and Davos are my favorite characters, so if you don’t like any of the above prompts write a story focusing on one of them/any combination of them. I’ll likely adore it.
