If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that also work for art. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have huge trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by July 13th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to EVERY email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either use a beta reader or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post. Don't be shy. They signed up because they want to help.

Read up to Storm of Swords but probably not going to get around to reading the rest any time soon. More invested in the show, though the endless RAPE is getting wearisome.

Starks, esp Catelyn, Ned, Robb, Sansa, Jon Snow (writing him in the context of Stark things, usually); Tyrells - all of them but especially Olenna and Margaery. Happy to write Margaery/Sansa, Margaery/Brienne, Margaery/Robb, Margaery/Renly, Robb/Jon, Jon/Sam, Robb/Theon, Catelyn/Ned, Robert/Ned, Renly/Loras, Loras/Oberyn...

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about:

TBH I would prefer to keep the central focus of the story on the characters listed above. I'm happy to cameo most other characters but would rather not write about the Boltons or Daenerys.

What kind of genres can you write?
I seem to have written a fair few historical AUs for GoT! I'm happy to give most styles a go, though I specialise more in character studies/romantic relationships than plots, so if you want an action-packed adventure I'm probably not your gal. I like writing strong women, awkward UST-filled relationships, bittersweet sort of things...

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you?
I don't want to write anything involving torture, rape or other forms of extreme violence, thanks!

Ships: Robb/Jon, Robb/Margaery, Margaery/pretty much anyone tbh though I particularly like her shipped with Sansa and Robb (...not at the same time. Probably?), Catelyn/Ned, Ned/Robert (Rebellion era). Gen: any of the characters I've listed I'd like to write about. I'd love fic about Olenna (Redwyne) Tyrell, for example, since there's almost none! I'd be glad to have Lannisters feature in any of your fics, too, if they also include some of these particular faves of mine! Oh, and Shae (of show!canon). I'd like to see more of her. Varys too.

Iron Islands folks, Boltons, Daenerys & pals.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? (Gen, slash, het, angst, fluff, romance, smut, character studies, AUs, future fics etc.)
I don't want anything out-and-out fluffy, but I'd prefer to avoid OUTRIGHT TRAGEDY! I love getting inside characters' heads and seeing what makes them tick. I love seeing relationships blossom, or alternately get insight into a well-established relationship. I like politics, personal drama, romance, angst, and I LOVE UST! Though even better than that is UST that is ultimately cured. ;) Smut is great though certainly not obligatory. I'm open to AUs if, for instance, they are in historical or fantasy settings that seem to have interesting parallels with GoT/ASoIAF. Please, no modern coffee shop-style AUs!

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:

1. Ned isn't executed and is allowed to take the black as planned. What happens after that is up to you - make it a way for Ned and Jon to awkwardly bond, or for Ned to try to advise Robb now he's no longer the head of the family, or go to Kings Landing and see what happens to Sansa now Ned is gone but the kingdom is not (yet?) at war...
2. Margaery/Sansa - for whatever reason Joffrey's death doesn't implicate Sansa. So she's still at court, and Margaery is married to Tommen. Both of them have husbands they've grown to respect, but they don't desire, and their growing friendship leads to more.
3. Robert's Rebellion era - Robert may have wooed Lyanna, but what he always wanted was Ned. Or Ned and Robert find unexpected consolation in each other following Lyanna's death. Is Ned's guilt on returning home less about baby Jon and more about FORBIDDEN ROMANCE with his bff?
4. Margaery becomes Queen in the North as wife to Robb after Renly's death and is sent off to rule Winterfell in Robb's absence. Margaery/Robb could be good, but really, seeing her interact with other Starks and people at Winterfell is the main thing!
5. Olenna - that scene in the show where she talks about how Luthor couldn't walk after her night with him before they were married. Doesn't that sound like he was into pegging?? Anyway, use that as inspiration if you like, but the main prompt is just Olenna as a young and wonderfully scheming young woman.
6. Catelyn is married to Brandon, but finds she falls in love with his brother Ned. This can result in angsty UST or eventually happy union or whatever you like!

Feel free to just see these as guides and follow your own trail!
