If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that work for both. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."

If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.

Please try to have a little bit of variety in your prompts. It's perfectly okay to want only fic about a certain character or group of characters, but if all your prompts are smut for the exact same pairing, it may get really hard for your writer. Also, please don't request six incredibly rare pairings. Rare ships are very welcome, but I will have trouble finding someone who can write for you if you have six prompts with ships that literally no other participant offered to write. The same goes for extremely detailed prompts and crossover prompts: one or two of those are okay, but not six of them. As a general rule, please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult.

If you don't want to post your email address here, just fill out the rest of the form and send me a PM with your address. Please sign up with an email address which you check regularly so I can reach you.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by November 2nd. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to every email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.

Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Also, either ask someone to beta read your fic for you or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. I have neither the time nor the patience to proofread every single fic before posting it. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, please contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post. Don't be shy. They signed up because they want to help.

Any other questions, comments, suggestions, problems? Just send me a PM or an email to the exchange account. Please read the FAQ first, though, maybe your question has already been answered there.

Have you read (all) the books? Have you seen the show? Do you have any book vs. show preferences? I've read all five books so far plus preview chapters. I stopped watching the show after S3, I've just been living vicariously through Tumblr gifsets and am thus thoroughly spoiled. I prefer writing in book!canon, but I can try show!canon--or, well, a strange hybrid of show and book canon, with more influence from the books because I am a bitter, bitter book reader.

What kind of gift can you make? Fic and/or fanart? Fic, mostly, but I might try my hand at an accompanying Tumblr picspam if the mood takes me.

Preferred characters and/or pairings: The Stark kids (and Jon Snow, but I have a special fondness for Robb), Catelyn and Ned Stark, Theon and Asha, Jon's NW clique (especially Sam), Ygritte, Gilly, Jeyne Westerling, Jeyne Poole, most of the Northerners in general--I have the most experience in writing them--and anyone else not listed below, I suppose. I'm not too picky. Also, Theon/Robb is my absolute OTP, followed closely by Sansa/happiness. Jon/Ygritte and Jon/Sam are somewhere up there, but I would be willing to try threesomes or even foursomes--Jon/Sam/Ygritte/Gilly, I'm fond of. Jon/Robb is my lone Starkcest ship, oops. Plus I like Sansa/Margaery, though I don't have much experience in writing Margaery herself, and Sansa/Shae, though I have little experience in writing it.

Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: Anything Starkcest, save for the aforementioned Jon/Robb ship. I have an absolute hatred for Ramsay Snow, Roose Bolton and Littlefinger, so much so that if they appear in the fic, you can be sure they'll be dead in a few paragraphs, and there is no chance of my writing anything for any ship featuring any of them. I also don't like Daenerys pairings that much, though I don't hate Daenerys herself--she has dragons, she's cool, but I don't really care that much for her, so she'll probably just be a minor character. Also no Sansa pairings with anyone other than Margaery, Shae or her happiness, and no Margaery pairings with anyone other than Sansa or being queen either. And I refuse to write Joffrey as anything more than a joke character or That Ex-Boyfriend Nobody Likes. As for show canon, I refuse to acknowledge a lot of things about the show, like Talisa or Pyp and Grenn dying or Jojen dying.

What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? Fluff! Angst! Humor! Sometimes all three at the same time! Seriously, though, I've noticed that I usually write modern AUs, reincarnation AUs and AUs where Robb comes back from the dead somehow, although usually that never works out for him (I'm currently writing him as the Winter Soldier, for instance). So, generally, you can expect a bit of pain and bittersweet ending at least--more sweet than bitter, though, and very hopeful. Canon is painful, okay, I heal myself through fic.

Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I can't write smut. I'm serious, it's not that I don't like porn because I do, I have enjoyed some very porny (and fully consensual) fics in the past, but I can't write it. I can write the lead-up, but then I'll either just fade to black or switch POVs.

What kind of gift do you want to receive? Fic and/or fanart? Generally, I prefer fic, but if any of the prompts tickle your art pickle then go for it, I suppose.

Preferred characters and/or pairings: See above.

Characters and/or pairings you do NOT want to see/read about: Also see above.

What genre of fic/art do you generally want? Anything! I enjoy a good fluffy fic just as much as I enjoy a soul-destroying piece of angst just as much as I enjoy cracky AUs just as much as I enjoy plausible future fics just as much as I enjoy crossovers and fusion AUs just as much as I enjoy hot BDSM smut just as much as I enjoy vanilla missionary sex. (But I do want there to be a hopeful ending, at least. You can break my heart as much as you like, but please, for the love of god, give me some hope at the end of it.)

Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:
1. Robb/Theon: Robb has been stuck in a time loop since the Red Wedding, from a few months before finding the direwolf pups to dying--and he dies in a different way every time, sometimes gruesome, sometimes hilarious, sometimes just plain stupid. Every time he dies he wakes up again in Winterfell with a killer hangover, and at this point has gone through it upwards of fifty times already (one time he sort of threw caution to the wind, he doesn't know what he was thinking when he married that nurse and he's pretty sure she was a spy) and has given up all hope of ever getting out of it. And then Theon starts banging on his door in the middle of the night, which did not happen before, which means he is no longer alone in the time loop. tl;dr: Robb and Theon do Mystery Spot and try to put things right, even if both of them keep dying in new and interesting ways. Take it as seriously or as crackily as you want. Preferably crackily, this was inspired by SPN's Mystery Spot.

2. Robb/Theon: What if, in another universe, I deserve you? (http://thoughtcatalog.com/gaby-dunn/2012/05/maybe-in-another-universe-i-deserve-you/) Five universes where they had their happy ending.

3. Robb: five ways he might've survived (or, uh, somehow lived after without turning into a Stoneheart-style zombie?) the Red Wedding--but not unscathed, never unscathed. That's right. I dare you. Do your worst and break my heart.

4. Think of a movie--the last movie you watched, a movie that stuck in your mind, a movie your friend dragged you to, bad, good, iconic, forgettable, whatever. Use it as inspiration for your fic--put the characters in the setting, write a crossover fusion, write a full-on proper crossover, or just use the premise. Anything at all.

5. Modern-day Westeros (http://fucktheon.tumblr.com/post/95912823413/wardenofthenorth-theojoiegrise), with a reincarnation twist. Who's still the same, who's done a complete 180 from their original personality, who's struck a balance between their past personality and their current one? Who remembers and drunkenly rants at HBO's terrible historical fiction and lists all the things they got wrong, who doesn't remember and thinks all this interest in a period of time thousands of years ago is weird, who gets flashes of memory that they can't quite make out and wonders why a tourist attraction or a museum or even a parking lot feels so familiar to them and only slowly remembers over time?

6. Fandom AU. War of the Five BNFs. That is all.

Your pet peeves and other things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: Non-con. I can deal with the recovery and references to it just fine, oblique or otherwise, it's the act itself I have issues with. I will read the kinkiest (non-bathroom kink. or bloodplay) things, so long as it's fully consensual, but no explicit non-con. Also, you can refer to R+L=J I guess, but it shouldn't make Jon any less of a Stark--he was raised as one, and as far as I'm concerned he's Ned Stark's bastard no matter whose he really is.

Are you willing to pinch hit? No, sorry, pal.

I needed a wild card prompt to balance out the incredibly detailed prompt I started off with, welp. and I am not embarrassed to admit that I really love fusions.

THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE FANDOM AUS I don't know why I haven't found any yet in ASOIAF.
