If you're okay with receiving both fic and art, please make sure to write prompts that work for both. Either phrase your prompts in a way so they can be used for both fic and art, or write separate prompts (i.e. 4-6 fic prompts AND 4-6 art prompts). That's far easier for artists than getting fic prompts and only an added "I like art, too."
If your sign-up includes spoilers (prompts like "what happened after character X did this or that in ADWD?"), please warn for them so other participants don't get spoiled accidentally while reading through the sign-ups.
Please remember that someone has to write/draw one of your prompts. Don't make their life unnecessarily difficult. Prompts should be starting points, not extremely detailed fic outlines. Try to have a bit of variety in your prompts rather than six prompts for the same pairing, especially if it's a rare pair. One or two crossover prompts are fine, but not six of them. Rare pairs are of course very welcome, but if you request only pairings that literally no other participant offered to write, I will have trouble assigning you. I reserve the right to ask you to add more offers or to edit your requests if there is no one who can write for you/no one you can write for by the end of the signup period.

Send your finished fic/art to gotexchange[at]hotmail[dot]com by September 11th. If you need an extension or if you have to drop out, please contact me as soon as possible. Don't just disappear. I reply to every email I get on the exchange account. If I do not reply to your email after a day or two, please assume that I did not get your message and resend it.
Please only send me fics as text files (.txt), or if that's not possible as .doc, .docx or .odt. Please include html tags for italics etc. in your file and check if your formatting works properly. Either ask someone to beta read your fic for you or at least proofread your fic thoroughly. If you don't know anyone who could beta for you, you can contact one of the people who signed up on this beta reader post.

Date: 2016-07-11 01:27 am (UTC)1. We know in canon from Cersei’s POV chapter that little Tommen and Margaery have a wedding nights of sorts, although because he’s a child, there’s no sex. Instead, in addition to the bride and groom, there’s a bunch of Margaery’s friends and cousins and Jaime standing guard. What happens that night? (I mean it sounds like a giant slumber party to me). Write that for me. Fill in the scene. I’d kind of love it from Jaime’s POV (canon).
2. How about something in the mod au department where Davos starts dating Barbrey Dustin? How does this affect the relationship/dynamic he has with the rest of the Team Dragonstone crew—maybe Stannis is a politician trying to get elected? (I’m less about the specifics here and more about the dynamic).
3. Asha/Sansa – mod au. I’m kind of a sucker for university settings or lord help me, coffee shop aus, maybe they meet in class? Would like it if Sansa was aged up to over 18, ok? (you could keep Asha older. That dynamic might be cool).
4. Cersei is married to Roose after the Purple Wedding. (Maybe Tywin just wants her out of the way?). Neither is thrilled about the match, but somehow they make a go of it. Fine if Ramsay is in this, but no torture stuff and I wouldn’t mind it if he met his untimely end (canon).
5. Roose has to attend a Frey family reunion with Walda. I would love it if he has to spend some time with Lancel and/or Amerei. Feel free to amp the crack up on this. (mod au).
6. Wildcard – do something with either fake dating or an arranged marriage and pick from the characters I listed above and go to town (fake dating – mod au; arranged marriage - canon).

Anything in the past - I'd love to fill out the history of Westeros (although I haven't read the prequel novellas, so, er, not that part of the past?)
Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about: No pairings of adults and children or adults and teens (but teen-teen romance is fine); no incest besides what's already in canon. No Greyjoys, Martells, Boltons, Freys, or Cleganes; not a fan of Dany and her crew. I love Varys and Littlefinger, but don't think I could do justice to writing them.
What kind of genres can you write/what kind of pictures can you draw? I strongly prefer to write gen. I'm happy to write fluff, romance, politics, stories about kids, most AUs. I sort of accidentally created a couple continuing worlds: a future where Dany holds Dragonstone and Sansa holds Winterfell; and a modern AU in which the Houses are corporations; I’m happy to write in either. I also love writing about knights and tournaments - if you want a battle or tournament, especially with historical details, I can totally do that.
Anything else I should know when I assign prompts to you? I won't write: noncon, dubcon, detailed sex or violence, any sex or violence involving children. I'd be really bad at writing anything excessively dark, or from the POV of a sadistic or villainous character.

Preferred characters and/or pairings: Pretty similar to the ones I can write: Starks, Lannisters, Tullys, Tyrells, Brienne. My favorite characters are Tyrion, Catelyn, Arya, Bran, Sansa, Brienne. Shireen. Pairings: Sansa/Margaery (the ship of my heart! my very favorite), Ned/Catelyn, Jaime/Brienne.
Characters and/or pairings you do NOT want to see/read about: Not a fan of Dany and Co. No Greyjoys, Martells, Boltons, Cleganes, or Freys. No Lady Stoneheart. No incest that isn't canonical; no adult-child or adult-teen pairings (although teen-teen is fine)
What genre of fic/art do you generally want? I love: gen, romance of any kind, politics, mysteries, strong friendship, found families, people navigating around the obstacles that society has placed before them. I like stories with a lot of dialogue and plot - I prefer heavily plotted stories over introspective character studies. It would also be good to have something happy - I've requested these characters because I like them, and I don't want anything sadder to happen to them than already has happened to them.
Give at least four and up to six prompts you would like to see written/drawn:
1. Sansa/Margaery, political power couple. They have to sway the Small Council without anyone realizing that they're doing it. It can be set at any time during or after canon - I'll be happy as long as the story shows them as a couple, and doing their subtle politicking thing.
2. Lyanna Stark as the Knight of the Laughing Tree, being brave and doing justice. Why might she resume the disguise at some point after the tournament? What would she do, and who would she fight for? I'd be fine with Lyanna/Rhaegar here, but even better would be Lyanna/Elia or Lyanna/Ashara. Or a Lyanna solo story would be good too.
3. (TV CONTINUITY) Canon Divergence: Sam and Gilly leave the Wall, taking Shireen with them to keep her safe. Maybe Stannis ordered them to; maybe Davos found out and sneaked her out behind Stannis's back; maybe Sam and Gilly did it on their own. Maybe they take her to Oldtown with them; maybe they take her somewhere else. What will make me happy is seeing Shireen being smart and adorable and even saving the day.
4. Why are Tommen and Myrcella so nice? What positive role models have they had in their lives that would make them turn out to be such good people? You can focus on either or both - I’ll be happy regardless. I'd prefer book continuity for this one.
Things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art:
Absolute Do Not Want: Explicit sex or violence. Rape, non-con, dubcon. Incest. Humiliation. Sexual relationships between adults and teens. (Teen-teen is fine.) Violence against children, child abuse, or other children-in-peril. Misogyny, homophobia, and other bigotry.
Would Rather Not Have: Anachronisms, excessive angst, the Five Things structure, plotless character studies. Also, no character bashing - if you don't like a character, just leave them out. (If the characters hate each other, that's fine, of course.) Most AUs don't do it for me.

Date: 2016-07-11 09:36 pm (UTC)1. I never get sick of canon-divergence AUs. Robert lives (Maybe Stannis doesn't take his ball and go home? Robert names him Hand instead of Ned?), Renly lives (Peach truce! Renly decides to be a good little brother from the start?), Stannis makes different choices or wins different battles (or even loses different battles, lol, as long as there's eventually a happy ending. Don't kill anybody I like but temporary misery is a-ok. :D) Any AU that revels in Baratheon brotherly relationships and/or Stannis/Davos would make me happy.
2. Role reversal is just about my favorite trope. This can be extremely literal like the actual AU swapping of roles, or a "shoe's on the other foot" situation, where, say, Stannis is at someone else's mercy. (I really enjoy making Stannis uncomfortable and making him do things he doesn't want to do. In case you haven't worked it out.) I'm particularly curious about how it would look if you flipped the power in Stannis/Davos but I don't even know myself how you'd do that. (I also love things that explore Stannis' loyalty to Davos; that's almost more important to me than the other way 'round.) I just like tweaked dynamics.
3. Stannis/Davos: Backstory. Always. I am seriously obsessed with the Siege of Storm's End and its aftermath. How did that marvelous relationship they have develop? How did they get together? Awkward first times? Feel free to interpret "backstory" very loosely - I'd love to see anything set right up to canon that explores their relationship. What kinds of things did Davos do to help Stannis when he was on the small council? How did Stannis establish himself on Dragonstone (with Davos' help naturally)? How did people react when Stannis started dragging Davos around with him everywhere?
4. Stannis & Renly: These two especially getting along makes me very happy. It breaks my heart that Stannis has always resented Renly for getting Storm's End even though he was only six and it wasn't his fault. I'd love something that fixes that and improves their relationship because I definitely think Renly could have benefited from some direction, and I think he only went off the rails because he really didn't have anyone looking after him. Or maybe something set earlier or later - during the Siege or before it with Stannis looking after his little brother or teaching him something, or when Renly's an adult and they fix things pre-canon or during the canon timeline.
5. Renly & Davos: This is a random relationship that really fascinates me. These are two characters adjacent to my fave and I want to see how they relate to each other. :D Little Renly when Davos first shows up at Storm's End? Big Renly in King's Landing when Davos is there with Stannis? Any age Renly trying to crack Stannis and Davos' relationship? I'd just love to see them be friends and understand each other and, through that, Stannis. These three are my favorite characters so I just want to see them interacting in any permutation. I mean, I'm sure Renly would be totally dismissive of Davos because he doesn't look like much, but he probably never bothered to get to know him. And Davos could probably like anyone if given the chance. Especially the younger Renly is because Davos + kids ♥
6. Stannis/Ned: This is the other random relationship that fascinates me (and possibly only me) because they're quite similar and should have gotten along except they didn't seem to. I also think it's kind of hilarious that Robert thinks Ned is more fun than Stannis, when they seem to be about the same amount of fun to me. So, what would happen if they actually gave each other a chance? Feel free to put in plenty of Robert because I adore him and I'd love to know what he would make of this because seriously, Stannis/Ned. :D
This are just suggestions; feel free to throw all these ideas in a blender. If it has my faves, I'll probably like it. :)

5) Stannis and his family, before the Baratheon parents died, and after. (Feel free to extend this out to "family" and to Selyse and Shireen, but I would like Renly, Robert, and their parents as well.)
6) When the war ends, Dany speaks to her most trusted advisor. (Who the advisor is and whether she is the victor is up to you.)
Things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art: I don't think Cersei/Jaime is healthy or should be the endgame pairing; please don't paint it as starcrossed perfect love. I'm sorry. I don't see it.

I'm still int he middle of the books and all good with the show! I'm spoiled enough for both canons and know pretty much everything, though, so everything should be fine. I love the show, but deeeeeefinitely prefer the books, especially after the S6 developments.

since the GoT exchange is mostly the only opportunity I ever get to write GoT, but I'm more than willing to also try Sansa, Margaery and Melisandre! And any Tullys (Tullies? How about Hoster/Minisa? Hoster/Minisa would be fun!), too. Perhaps even Petyr (mostly together with Cat or in reflection on her, though) but only if I must.Characters and/or pairings you will NOT draw/write about:

I would rather Dany and her dragons stay in Essos (unless indicated by a prompt). Also, please ignore anything HBO has done with Stannis and Jon's story arcs.

Date: 2016-07-13 12:59 am (UTC)1. Jon/Sansa or Stannis/Sansa: He's not handsome or charming, but Sansa has come to learn that a decent man who will treat her well is the most attractive man of all. The level of the relationship can range from romantic to entirely platonic, for I’m very interested to see Sansa interact with Jon/Stannis post ADWD where neither Queen Daenerys nor R + L = J come into play.
2. Stannis and Davos: Something pre-canon, such as Davos helping Stannis plan the attack on Dragonstone, Stannis brooding with Davos after a frustrating small council meeting, Davos and Stannis working together to solve a mystery, Davos interacting with Robert/Renly/Stannis at the same time, or Stannis visiting Davos and his family on Cape Wrath. I’d like to see a focus on how the Stannis/Davos dynamic that we see in canon develops, for Stannis easily could have sent Davos off to Cape Wrath after the Storm’s End siege and never bothered with him again. While this prompt is gen, UST/repressed feelings between the two are welcome.
3. Stannis/Jon: Jon bends the knee. I don’t care when, I don’t care how, but I’m very interested to see Stannis and Jon work together in a capacity other than King/Lord Commander of the Night’s Watch. Perhaps Jon accepts the lordship of Winterfell or a place on Stannis’ Kingsguard or Small Council. Level of the relationship can range from romantic to entirely platonic, though I have a weakness for hints of father/son interactions between them.
4. Ned interacting one-on-one with each of his children, including Jon. Feel free to set it at any time during before or during canon, or even have Ned’s spirit visit each of his children in a dream à la Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. I just want to see some Stark gen with Ned trying to be a good father.
5. Jon and his father figures: Jon has a whole string of father/mentor figures in the books, most of who tragically end up dying after importing their own unique wisdom. Write a story focusing on Jon’s relationship with one (or any number) of these men and how he’s able to influence Jon for good or for ill: Ned, Benjen, Tyrion, Jeor Mormont, Donal Noye, Maester Aemon, Qhorin Halfhand, Mance, Tormund, Stannis.
6. Lol, I have tried SO HARD to winnow this down to six. I really, really did. /o\ At least I'm down to six numbered points...
I wrote a lot about Jon/Sansa but I'm equally excited for any of my prompts to be filled.
Several of my prompts contain SPOILERS for season six:
1. Jon & Sansa or Jon/Sansa (show): Gen or shipfic is equally fine. In general, I would love to hear more about Sansa's conflictedness about Jon's new role as King of the North - which I think she engineered (the way she gave him the fur cloak that looked specifically like Ned's!) but the necessity of which might still bother her. I'd also love to know more about how they go about restoring Winterfell and preparing for winter (and maybe their changed relationship(s) to the castle?). A possible canon AU - what if they couldn't rally the wildlings to fight for them? Where would they have gone? Perhaps to Bear Island or maybe north of the Wall to find Bran? Some delicious h/c would be great, or focus on their scars. I'd love to know more about Jon's feelings about coming back from the dead - it definitely seemed like it changed him (how he's ready to just give up and leave altogether) but the show kind of dropped it. I'm not really into modern AUs, but a gladiator AU or steampunk AU or circus AU would be great, so long as they preserve the canon relationships between the characters (i.e., Jon and Sansa should not be meeting for the first time as adult strangers). In shipfic, feel free to either lean strongly on incestuous "we might be technically cousins but you're still my sibling to me" feelings or harder on "we were pretty distant as kids and our relationship is completely different now."
2. Cersei (& Jaime) (book or show): In the books, Cersei says she used to dress up as Jaime when they were kids and that people treated her differently when they thought she was her brother. I am SO interested in more details about this and how it influenced her. Cersei's gender issues are fascinating to me also, if that's something you want to explore in tandem. The inclusion of pre-Cersei/Jaime is fine, although I'm imagining them pretty young for this.
3. Dany/Yara (show): They had mad chemistry in their finale scene together, and I just want mooooore. A bit of antagonistic sex? Yara as an occasional consort? More about what they think about each other?
4. Arya & Jon & Sansa (show): I would love to hear about the different dynamics between these characters compared to when they were kids. Jon and Sansa weren't close as children, but now they are fighting together on the same side for the same goal. I wonder if, even though Arya and Jon were closer as kids, there will be more tension between them now given how much she's changed. Or Arya might be jealous of the new synergy between Jon and Sansa, or Sansa might feel left out since she knows Arya and Jon were so much closer.
5. Aemon Targaryen (book or show): He says he was tested three times to leave the Night's Watch - I'd love some more details about any or all of those (the last is obvious, but more details still welcome). Did he ever start to leave and come back, or have brothers who brought him back? Ultimately, what made him stay?
6. one-sided Brienne/Tormund (or Brienne & Tormund, depending on how you define shipfic) (show): I'm really tickled by the idea of Tormund attempting to carry Brienne off, failing, trying again, failing, etc, and becoming more and more enamored with her each time. Brienne eventually wises up to what's going on (or someone tells her) and she tolerates it, maybe even begins to enjoy it--not because she's interested, but because it's just nice to be genuinely wanted for once.
Things you DO NOT WANT in your story/art:
Non-canon background pairings (but including something like Brienne's feelings for Jaime is fine), graphic on-screen rape (dubcon stuff like aphrodisiacs or sex pollen is fine--consider that a prompt for Jon/Sansa or Dany/Yara, even), modern AUs.

Alternately, future-fic with Dany as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms and Yara as Princess/Lady Paramount of the Iron Islands where they remain lovers while also marrying for dynastic reasons. (Don't care who they're married to or whether the husbands know or care about the relationship.) Another option - Dany wins the coming war(s), doesn't become queen, but survives and maintains a relationship with Yara somehow.
2. Jaime/Brienne. Unexpected happily ever after. Book verse, show verse, AU, whatever. Just...how could they end up together and happy (after a fashion...) in a way that would surprise pretty much everyone. Anything shy of total crack-fic is welcome.
3. Sansa/Margaery and Sansa/Willas. The Tyrell plot to smuggle Sansa to Highgarden and marry her to Willas succeeds, and he is a good husband to Sansa who cares for him deeply, but it's Margaery that Sansa loves. Love is generally considered more free in the Reach, but navigating this triangle is difficult for all involved. (Happy or angsty or smutty all OK.)
4. Adult!Shireen/Rickon. They are head over heels for one another. Only problem is, they're both so stubborn they're the only ones who refuse to admit it. (Lighter tone preferred, modern AU ok!)
5. Lyanna Mormont (show canon). Literally anything about her kicking ass and taking names. Future-fic with her as Lady of Bear Island very welcome. Ship her with anyone you please (Rickon? Arya? Shireen? Jon?), I don't care as long as she's happy (and an older teen or adult if there's anything remotely sexual going on).

A look at the dynamics between Aegon, Rhaenys, and Visenya. Was Visenya ever jealous of the relationship between her siblings? Did she ever love Aegon? Why did she really tend to Aenys before he died?
Catelyn escapes/isn’t at the Red Wedding and goes north the Wall to Jon where they grieve together and maybe something more.
Catelyn feels humiliated by Brandon’s constant affairs and is consoled by his younger brother Ned.
Aegon never understood why his father went to war for a Stark until he met Sansa. Can be switched for Daenerys and Jon if that inspires you more.
Jon has to choose a wife, and Sansa has to choose a husband. They decide to marry each other to avoid all the vultures swirling around. It’s still awkward between them even though they’re now cousins and it’s ten times worse on their wedding night.
Rhaegar doesn’t abduct Lyanna but negotiates a marriage contract with Lord Rickard, and compensation for Robert. How does that effect the future of Westeros? Bonus if part of the compensation is a match with Cersei.

1. Yara and Dany marry. There was no demand for marriage but as Yara said, “she was up for anything”. (These two just have so much chemistry. I’ve love to see a marriage between them after Dany takes the Iron Throne. I imagine people balking at the idea of two women marrying and ruling the Seven Kingdoms but obviously Tyrion thinks it’s a good idea.)
2. Brienne thinks something is wrong with Tormund at first. Then she realizes that he wants her. Being wanted in such a way is new to Brienne. That is why she balks at the idea at first.
3. Arya finally returns to Winterfell. (A typical reunion fic and Jon and Sansa reacting to how their little sister has changed.)
4. A fic that explores a Dany and Tyrion friendship. Would they have battles of snark or how would Tyrion deal with Dany hiding the wine? (AU or Canon is fine. I just would love to see these two interacting.)
5. Sansa discovers she that is indeed pregnant with Ramsey’s child.
6. A character study about the remaining Stark children and how they have changed over the years.

I enjoy both gen and shippy fics (femslash, slash or het). For shippy stuff, I'm good with all levels of romance/UST/smut, though I prefer even my romantic fic to have a bit of a bite to it or something bittersweet. Angst is a-OK. I love character studies, especially ones that tell us something about a character through the lens of their relationships with others. I like canon-divergence and futurefic. In terms of structure, I'm super flexible. Present or past tense is fine. 5+1s/vignette forms if thematically linked in some way are absolutely welcome. 1) Loyalty or fealty kink for one of my favourite knight/lord or master/servant pairs. I like it played straight (e.g. trust, intimacy, duty, the servant sees things about the master that no one else does, a bit of H/C maybe), or you can subvert it/deconstruct it and make it a little darker--obsession, for example, or codependence, or one-sided/conflicted loyalty. I'm interested in a lot of pairings that could work well with this trope: Stannis/Jon(/Mel), Stannis/Davos, Jon/Sam, Jon/Satin, Melisandre/Selyse, Brienne/Sansa, Brienne/Cat, JonCon/Rhaegar, Renly/Loras, Aegon V/Dunk, Ashara/Elia, Gerris/Quentyn, Dany/Jorah or Dany/Irri (but strongly prefer these to be dysfunctional), Asha/Tris(and/or Qarl).
2) The Red Widow. I'm open to absolutely anything about her but some suggestions: her childhood. Her cultivation of her fierce Red Widow reputation. What were her reactions to each of her husbands' deaths--and were the deaths really as innocent as she told Dunk? What was her marriage to Ser Eustace like--particularly after she was mad about his son's death for so long. How did she end up married to Gerold Lannister? Might she meet Dunk and Egg again as Lady Lannister? What about her 'mysterious disappearance'--did she run away? Did Gerold the Golden have her killed or did one of his enemies take revenge for his rumoured murders? Did Cersei ever hear tales about her ferocious great-grandmother?
3) Jaime's admiration of the Blackfish. Anything you like. Perhaps something set in the past, either some UST or a near miss or straight-up smut with a young and golden and eager Jaime and a reserved but flattered Blackfish showing him the ropes? Or you could have present-day Jaime reflecting on his complicated feelings and how they're tangled up with his sense of his own worthlessness (shit for honour, lost sword hand) compared to the Blackfish, that shining paragon of knightliness.
4) Something about House Mormont. Some kind of slice of life on Bear Island, or the relationships between Maege and her daughters (or her brother), or something to do with Lyanna left alone to rule and sending that letter to Stannis? Are they really skinchangers? How about Alysane meets Tormund and they share stories about bearfucking? Give me anything at all as long as it features Mormonts.
5) Religion. It could be as grand and mystical as Bran and Bloodraven in the weirwoods, or as simple as a character praying to the Seven. Various ironborn and their relationship with the Drowned God (especially if you include Cotter Pyke and the dead things in the water)? Vignettes of various followers of R'hllor? An atheist in a world full of gods? Feel free to include anyone you like as long as they're not on my DNW list.

Stannis has just finished with supervising the rationing of the onions and salted fish that Davos had brought, and finally has the time to eat. Davos, in his deep admiration and sympathy for the young lord, decides to share his prized goods: dessert in the form of a bar of chocolate from Pentos. Stannis has never tasted chocolate before, so he has no idea that the side effect of the sudden boost his serotonin levels get is that it makes him feel really good, and incredibly horny. Cue shenanigans with Stannis doing siege things sexily while Davos and innocent bystanders get turned on, and Cressen doing everything short of ninja moves to keep Renly oblivious.
2. Minor character POVs are awesome:
I love the trope where the aggrieved loner character is unaware that he grows up observed and quietly cared for by people around him, who would have been his friends if not for his station. Basically, random people Stannis meets and how he leaves an impact on their lives and vice versa, and the gratitude from either side that could be expressed or not.
3. Give characters Disney princess traits:
Shireen is friends with talking household items. Stannis has a lovely and magical singing voice and a Secret Grotto where he keeps a vast treasure trove of objects, antiques, and artifacts (merman tail optional). Selyse used to have seventy feet long golden hair. Davos has a fairy godmother. I have no idea how to make a Mulan out of Jon Snow but I bet it would be awesome.
4. Spy (need not be modern) AU:
Because I imagine Steffon and Cassana are as badass as their children, no one suspects that the second Baratheon son was trained to be not only as an advisor to his older brother, but also as an inconspicuous and easily ignored secret operative of sorts. (Also, picture Stephen Dillane inflicting violence Jason Statham style. Go ahead, take your time.) It's while he's doing a transporter job that he meets the equally unnoticeable smuggler Davos. Cue shenanigans where they land each other in trouble and/or end up rushing to each other's rescue (sexy times optional).
5. Five Nice Things that Stannis Receives, Much to His Confusion, and the One Nice Thing that He Expected To Get:
Ordering his life around duty and justice, Stannis does not expect to have nice things, so when he does get such gifts, it confuses his worldview. When he does get what he expects, though, it is very gratifying. Stannis being either perplexed or smug can either be super sweet (e.g. a flower crown or a kiss on the cheek) or super hot (e.g. successful political maneuvering or a nice orgasm???) and would be just fun to read.
6. "Kings have no friends," or Stannis has no idea that he's friends with X:
(Well, you weren't king for most of your life, Stannis.) Imagining people proving Stannis wrong on this point is endlessly amusing for me, so speculate freely on the heartfelt or cracky options of friends Stannis could have had, and bonus points if all of them have to point out to Stannis that Davos is one of them.

So... anything Ned/Ashara? The two of them fall in a doomed romance after Brandon dishonors her as per ADWD maybe? Scenario where she's in fact Jon's mother? Scenario where Jon is born with purple eyes and Ned tells everyone he's Ashara's even if he isn't and he angsts horribly because he wishes it was true? Break my heart, I'm okay with it. Or I'd totally be amenable to less sad modern AUs. Some Ned/Ashara/Cat modern AU OT3 would be amazing actually. I'm down with functional OT3s raising six kids honestly. Swishy robes is a joke, but I do think that Sam might seem different when he returns due to all his fancy new knowledge, training, and confidence. He's still the sweet, timid Sam that Jon remembers, but now he's all competent and shit. The Lord Commander won't stand a chance against that (especially because he was clearly kind of in love with Sam before, my evidence being fierce conviction that is not open to interpretation at all — nope, not at all).

3. Obara/Margaery - Somehow, Obara ends up as Margaery's bodyguard/sworn sword. Somehow, feelings happen. (Modern AU is cool too.)

Sansa tries to shield little Robin from the drama of Lysa and Petyr’s troubled marriage. Podrick is the cutie next door who helps out some way or another. – Asha x Alysane. Groundhog Day AU. Asha travels to Bear Island to report on the mythical groundhog (or whatever!) and gets stuck repeating the same day over and over again. Local single mom Alysane tries to help her get back to normal. They fall in love, etc. etc. you know how it goes.
– Something meta- or intertextual, like a fake college essay that presupposes that canon events are real, a court transcript or a cleverly-written thinkpiece about a character. Something that seems real but isn't, basically. I hope that makes some kind of sense!

Happy to read Stannis/Davos or Stannis/Ned (loyalty kink a bonus for both of these! Either one as his Hand would be fine for me), or Renly/Loras (how petulant would Renly be if he lost and got sent to Dragonstone? Could he do something to get Loras sent with him or would they be stuck meeting at tournaments?) for this one.
2) Post-canon Sansa/Sandor reunion - as creepy and wrong, happy, or bittersweet as you care to make it! Happy to read a Queen in the North AU, Sansa as the Stark in Winterfell and Warden of the North or living at court in King’s Landing, marriage, kidnapping, Sandor as her bodyguard the way he was Joffrey’s, whatever you like. Sansa’s age and whether she’s already married to someone else or not are entirely up to you. (Or, hey, Blackwater AUs are always welcome).
3) Post-canon Jaime/Brienne. Is a happy ending actually possible for the two of them? Would it all inevitably go wrong? What would it take happening in canon for them to get together in the end? Happy to see Brienne and Jaime in Winterfell, on Tarth, Casterly Rock, in exile, as members of the same king’s kingsguard…
4) No War AU. Jaime/Brienne meeting at a tournament (either fighting each other or watching each other fight). How might that have gone? Ned/Robert with Ned trying to make Robert Be A Proper King (and all he succeeds in doing is making him stop boinking every woman alive)? Ned/Stannis bonding over responsibilities and Robert’s ridiculous kingship? Renly and Loras contriving a way for Loras to stay in King’s Landing? What would it take for there to be no war - would it be as simple as Cersei having died before she could arrange Robert’s untimely demise, or Robert having married someone else? What would Cersei marrying someone else mean for Cersei/Jaime?
5) The Lannisters win and Cersei rules as queen. How would that work? What would have to happen for that to be the outcome? What does Jaime do - is he a member of Cersei’s guard? Would she make him her Hand? Does he go back to Casterly Rock as Warden of the West? What sort of ruler is Cersei? Happy with Jaime/Cersei or Jaime/Brienne. For Jaime/Cersei - I prefer it creepy and codependent and narcissistic. For Jaime/Brienne, I’m happy with it being as sweet or awkward or whatever you like.
